Hey Everyone I'll be comin through Michigan from NY for the KBS release. The wife and I will be stopping into Dark Horse for lunch on Friday. I was hoping to pick up some Pt5. I can't tell from their awesome website but do they do bottle sales there? Will they have Pt5? If not, any stores nearby or in GR or on the way to GR that would have it? Thanks for any help.

Also I doubt but is BBPt5 available anywhere? If not lemme know if we can work out a trade. Can offer up sucaba, bcbcs, FW16, and double DBA. Thanks!

Dark Horse does sell bottles at their store across the parking lot from the pub, not sure what's available there at the moment. BBPt5 was only available at the 4 elf party and sold out before the event was over, it doesn't get distributed to any stores.

Pt5 was available at the brewery a month or so ago. Just ask when you stop in.

Horrock's in Battle Creek had some a week ago when I was in there. I think you can still find it around in stores if you're willing to check more than one store.

Rather than start a new thread about pt5, I'll just ask here.

I picked up a 4-pack that just hit the shelves in the Chicagoland market and was surprised to find that the first bottle I emptied into a snifter had a disturbing amount of sediment settled at the bottom - as in when I rinsed the bottle for saving, a long, goopy grayish blob rinsed out, at which point, peering through the bottle up at my ceiling light, I noticed there was some more left that hadn't rinsed out. For a beer just hitting our market, should this be the norm? As dark as the beer is, I couldn't tell if the other three bottles have this, and I certainly don't want to 'shake it up' and have floaters in my remaining pours. For my first time trying it, I didn't pick up any 'off' taste, but I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

Dark Horse always has lost of yeast floating in there bottle . Crooked Tree is board line chewable. This is for normal for Dark Horse because there lack of filtering but doesnot effect taste.

It's normal. As long as it didn't get in your glass, no harm no foul. Your drain won't care... I have had that clump in both PT5th and Founders Imperial. If it drops in your glass, just take a kitchen strainer and take it out. The beer is still spectacular!

Ok thanks. Didn't notice the sediment with the Founders Imperial but will definitely keep an eye on my last two bottles.

Now I find out! I encountered my first clump in a year-old FIS a few weeks ago and drain poured the whole thing....

Out of curiosity are you driving through PA and OH to get to Michigan or through Ontario?

    Thanks man!

Goin to Cleveland first then to dark horse then GR. Going through Ontario would save almost two hours but we wanna check out some other awesome Great Lakes breweries.

OH NO YOU DITTINT! That's too bad man, you could have at least tasted it first! I know when I first had it happen, it really creeped me out, but I took a swig anyway, and it was still wonderful.

Forgot to call yesterday, headed to kzoo this morning and wanted to make a quick run to dark horse to get pt5 if still at the store. Can anyone confirm if they had some this week? Want to get there when they open to avoid missing too much NCAA basketball. Thanks in advance
