Hey ya'll, I'm looking for some quick little feedback. I'm headed out to Dark Horse this afternoon. The fiancé has a wedding shower in Jackson so I have a good 5 hours to kill at the brewery. Any Pro Tips brew or food-wise? Thanks guys!
My experience with Dark Horse's brewpub is that they have good food, great atmosphere, but never anything special on tap. I havent been there in a while, but generally the bulk of the beers on tap was available in bottles. They might have one or two that are not. I enjoyed the pizza and calzones.
Spend the ten bucks or however much it is for the tour. You get a pint glass and get six small pours in the VIP lounge which includes BA Plead the 5th. Its kind of a short tour but worth it.
I hated this story. I love Dark Horse and hate Nickelback as much as the next guy, but airing the whole thing out in public and trashing them after they approached DH about an opportunity like this seemed utterly classless. I get that they didn't want to "tarnish" themselves with the cheap publicity the association could have brought them... But instead they get cheap publicity by joining in the "DAE hate Nickelshit??" Doesn't seem much better.
Oops. Mobile app mistake. Not sure how to delete. @Bigtwin that's hilarious. Good for them to not compromising their belief that Nickleback sucks. The bashing from a public figure is a bit egregious but whatever, I share the same sentiment so I don't care. This pub mustard is the shit. Suppppper hot. Makes the nostrils burn. Safety Meeting washes it down nicely.
In review: The beer garden was amazing. Wish there were a couple more TV's so I could have watched the ball game but whatever. The tour was really cool. Gary is a good dude. VIP tasting room upstairs was sweet. BBPt5 was plentiful up there as promised. Also two other BA beers, Boffo's Aunt Cherry and 3 Pairs of Legs. Both very very good. Would like to get down there for the 4 Elf Party. Thanks and cheers to all!
No Pauly, I did not fuck around with that. Sensitive bikers. Really digged the vibe in there. Would also like to get in there when the fire more mugs though I'm not sure when that happens.
Agreed. Looks like they needed an ego boost and hating on nickelback in public was in at the time. That's bush league.
