I've seen these go for a lot and very little. Looking at the boards though it doesn't look like many get traded but I know they have been. Any thoughts on what it would take to bring these in?
i would guess it would take much more to get an '08 than an '09, but that's based primarily on my personal preference. those were two of the last years they sold extras at the end of the day, so it's possible that many people started out with quite a few, but alas it's been 4-5 years now! As for specifics, i don't know, i don't have any of these beers, but i'm pretty sure something along the lines of foufoune / BCBV would land an '09 (or other older stuff), probably more for the '08, but i am far from the expert on this!
'09 goes cheaper because it was on sale for multiple years at Dark Lord Day. There are also less and less traders around that went to DLD '08.
What I've been able to find so far... I saw an '08 go for 4 pack '13 KBS, another for a Cherry Rye and then i saw that one that went for the Ann. The '09 I saw go for a Cherry Rye, another go for a BA Alpha Klaus and another go for about $50 in brewery only FFF bombers.
I was extra'd an '09 DL, and then traded a '09 BA Speedway for '09 DL, '10 MOAS and '10 Behemoth and some other stuff.
Oh yeah, I'm looking for DL and I have plenty of KBS, I'd do that in a second as well. I'm looking to see if anyone else would.
I've noticed that pre-09 anything tends to be much harder to get than 09-current. It just seems like there was a noticeable uptick in craft/trading/cellaring/hoarding around 09-10, and thus many less bottles of earlier stuff floating around in cellars.
I just set up trades to unload the last of my older DL's '07 - '08. I asked for boxes of Cantillon for the verts.
