Quite honestly, I think 2016 is drinking straight money right now and would seek something mighty to get the bottles I have. From my experience, most other imperial releases, minus special variations should get something close to 1:1

 

interesting as i thought i had read where 16 was supposed to be one of the worst vintages of DL...maybe it was 15.

 

Perhaps this is just akin to the macro preference for/against DL in terms of those who taste/do not taste the soy/umami.

That would be my best guess, but /shrug. I do believe many in the DL thread mentioned 16 as being the "less desireable" year. But perhaps I too am mistaken.
