Did they take the flat screen and the projector out when they remodeled the pub? I was in there the other night but I was in and out and didn't pay attention.

I assume the projector will be showing a random mid-80s horror movie. Which it should be.

Time to look for a ustream link!

how long do the bands play? I want to see them finish up but most of my friends I think are going to want to leave earlier. Is anyone who's staying for all the bands want to give me a ride back to chicago?

So i just read on the FFF website that lawn chairs will NOT be permitted....is this true or is it possible that we can still bring in chairs so we are not standing the entire day? sorry this will be my first DLD...please let me know.

    Thanks!!!

Game 1 of the Playoffs dude! I can def enjoy drinking DL variations in the pub while watching the Bulls game..hopefully. No comment on the whole NASCAR comparison either. Let's just say I'm a hater!

No chairs of any kind are going to be allowed inside. Your only chance are those really tiny camping tripod style chairs that are small enough you might be able to fit it in a backpack. Even then, they will likely search bags.

I recommend buying a folding camping chair from Walmart/Kmart/Walgreens, the ones you can find for $5-10. You can use it outside the gates in the line and just leave them out there. If stolen its no big loss, but lots of people hang out outside the gates, and if you really need a break you can hang out outside the gates for awhile. Otherwise, there will be benches inside, but good luck since most are claimed early and held for the day.

    noob here

what time do the guest drafts run out? do they just keep tapping new stuff through the night?

and when will the dl line be shortest? (besides being first or last in line) our tickets allow us to go through at any time

    thanks!

What do you mean your tickets allow you to go through at any time? I'm assuming you've been assigned either Group A, Group B, or Group C. Each of those groups has its own unique time slot. 10-12 for A, 1-3 for B, and 5-7 for C. You need to get in line for your group's specific time slot. Judging from last year, the lines for buying the DL will start forming well before the time slot.

What time is best to arrive for pay-parking? I am thinking of showing up around 830.

The best times to go through the line, if you are still there, will be after after 6pm. The line will be almost gone by then.

We'll still be there, the only thing I'm afraid of is that there will be no chance for the golden tickets. Is that a legit concern?

you should be fine, last year we got there around that time and they had plenty of space.

I don't understand why more companies in the area don't do this. They charge $40 a car for the past few years, seems like an easy way to make some extra cash

For guest drafts it depends on what is on tap, but they go fast. CBS and BCS Rare were on tap and both beers were gone literally as fast as they could be poured last year. If they release a guest tap list, don't expect to see anything that you have your heart set on available - just go with the flow and when you get to the front of a line for a guest draft, choose something you haven't seen or had before, and enjoy yourself. To expect otherwise will be setting yourself up for disappointment.

Was up at the brewpub last night. For those of you planning on purchasing other FFF brews @ DLD, if you were a fan of Shark Pants, (Belgian DIPA), it is available again in bombers and on tap. It's been renamed "Live a Rich Life." Stopped up there last night to get some of it and Rye'd Da Lightning. Didn't want to have to worry about @ DLD.

Everyone gets a golden ticket when you go through the gate. IF you manage to win, waiting that long might limit your chances of getting the specific BA DL you want.

Nope. You show up and exchange your TicketNow ticket for a Golden Ticket. I should hope that winning tickets are distributed evenly across all 6000 tickets. The earlier you go through the line, the larger the selection may be for the variants, though they are rationed out for each group (ie. say there are 600 bottles total of the Cognac version -- 200 will be available in Group A, 200 in B and 200 in C). Last year, the De La Muerte was the smallest yield with only ~150 bottles per group (if not less) so if there's a specific variant you really want (and again, you have to win the scratch-off first), it would behoove you to go through the line as close to the start of your group's starting time.
