I've been thinking Mac Sabbbath would be a great Dark Lord Day act. Seems like a nice reprieve from grindcore for the swarms of fat, drunk, hairy cheeseburger-eaters (like myself).

 

I wasn't sure where this was going, but it delivered.

How many stages did DLD have last year? 1 or 2?

 

One stage, no tent. Big gap between the stage and the crowd.

 

And of course: Dragon Abortion will be making their 2nd appearance at DLD!

 

Are there ever any chances to win tickets to Dark Lord Day? Promo giveaways, radio call-ins, anything like that?

As the secretary and lead janitor for DA, I can confirm this statement.

 

Big Freedia beer was amazing. I had it early on in the day and really liked it. Later on I had a Skull'Ole that killed my taste buds for like an hour.

 

I think Alta Vista has some kind of promo code.

 

Fucking Skull'Ole...I still have 2 bottles. Its such a huge vinegary mess now.

 

A thought about 3 Floyds taps and the fact that they haven't put out a barrel aged beer in a year.

In 2016 they released bottles of BA Moloko, BA Alpha Kong, BA Behemoth, etc. And a pub only BA Permanent Funeral. So we saw all of those on tap at DLD 2017.

You would think that they would have plenty of barrel aged stuff ready for the festival, but with the lack of actual releases I don't know what we can expect. Think they have been barreling beers without releasing them to possibly have a huge DLD?

 

Or Barrel aging Dark lord lord so that they can guarantee 10,000 people receive a BA Dark Lord.

 

I, too, had some Clorox...I mean Skull'Ole. It upset my tummy and stripped all the enamel off of my teeth. Never again.

They had group D or E tickets available in their online store for a while before the fest last year, I believe.

 

Thought that too but if you figure they release about 5,000 bottles total of barrel aged beer throughout the year, I dont think 5,000 people got vintages

 

This response is too logical and will be deemed a bad idea.

 

Would I be wrong in assuming that the reason there's no variant list posted until weeks after tickets are sold is because they don't know? I mean, are some or all of the variants still sitting in the barrels?
