    “What kind of meat?”
    [cold, blank stare]
    “Like, is it venison? Beef?”

“Uh, hey, you haven’t blinked in, what, 3 minutes. Are you ok?”

“I’m gonna... I’m gonna go. I’m just going to leave this BA Henna right here and walk away..... I’m just gonna walk away, slowly.”

Based on these lists, everyone is either ignoring the limit or bad at math. Maybe both?

I'm going to attempt to bring in around 100oz, and hope they aren't too picky.

So far I've only got my palette cleanser beers picked out: Crooked Stave Nightmare on Brett, Casey Farm Stand Peach, and RR Consecration. I'll likely throw a vintage DL and a BA PW beer in as well.

I'm sure a good amount of what people are bringing will be consumed in line before getting into the festival.

i was told there wouldn't be any maths...i will tell the bag checkers that i divided the contents in my bag by the square root of -1 and their rules are invalid.

Yeah that was usually the case, but for me there was almost no line outside the gates last year because of the staging area. When I arrived there were about 10 people ahead of me and the line was moving fast, I got in in no time and then I was inside the staging area. No time to even pound a beer outside the gates.

Curious what type of lines other people experienced last year, because for me there wasn't one.

I had the same experience as you. I showed up around 6:30 A.M. and there was basically no line at all. Maybe waited 5 minutes before going through to the staging area. No opportunity to share prior to going in.

Were the lines noticeably different from years prior like 2014,2015,2016? I remember waiting in line to get into the event for about 2 hours in all three years. I got there around an hour before opening.

2016 I remember by the time I entered group B had started lining up but I saw a guy standing with a group A sign so we ran over and were able to beat group B for bottle pickup.

This year we have A but I decided on the later shuttle from Open Bottle, leaving at 8:30AM, would like to still pickup during our window but not sure if that is a possibility if we get there and have to wait in 2+ hour line again.

    Yes.
    I hate maths.
I was there early but my wife and I got stuck waiting for our +1's to arrive. When they finally showed up it was a quarter til the gates opened. At that point the line was moving but wrapped down the street and around the corner.

Those years had the north & south gates. Also, no-one was let in before 9 or 10am, so there was plenty of sharing from 6:00am until 10:00am or so. Then the entire line had to be filtered in and that took a while.

In 2016 IIRC the north gate line was a clusterfuck, and we got stuck in those cattle gates for a couple hours, it was insane.Group A was almost over by the time we got through.

Last year with the staging area open at 6:30 am, anyone there early was processed through security very fast so there wasn't much line outside at all, except maybe right around 9am or so.

Yeah, this is exactly what I'm somewhat worried about as well. I was almost wondering that if people get there are 7-7:30 (or earlier), are we better off just not going into the staging area so that we can drink more of our own stuff throughout the day.

My experience last year was a moving queu. I showed up at 9:15ish and got into the staging area by 10am. The queu was moving slow enough to share but quick enough that you couldn’t put your bag down and play euchre (or any other game for that matter). The queu was long so I went through about 2 bottles sharing but had to gulp some pours as we entered.
