I checked untappd and didn't seem anything. my body sent me a screenshot of someone's FB post. if I knew how to upload pics on this site I'd post it. that same buddy said he did this at DLD with his last pours of each beer late in the night & said it was the best beer he drank all festival.

 

while I didn't see it, the ChemTrail and Hanjee were so easy to get by the end of the fest, we did it ourselves! ~50/50

It was good, but IMO not as good as the individuals.

 

everything seems likes a good idea & tastes great by the end of the night on DLD.

 

I saw that on FB and thought it was a ruse about 3 Floyds actually tapping it. I do believe people mixed it themselves at DLD though.

 

Got tons of peppercorn on this year’s Chemtrail. Anyone trading heavy expecting a cinnamon bomb, beware.

 

It's still absolutely a cinnamon bomb. Can't say I agree with you at all.

 

It’s all good. That’s just what I got off a draft pour at DLD.

 

I loved the increase in peppercorn, really paired with the change to rye barrel too, was really unique and stood out to me, better than last year's which was still good, but straight brown sugar cinnamon pop tart dunked in bourbon

 

Popped a prop 15 at 9:30pm on DLD. Best beer of the day.

 

Just drink it. That's the experience. If it's bad it's bad. If it's good great. But hedge your bets as 25 oz of any beer is too much. Find 3 other people with different variants and do a share where you each get a 6oz pour of the 4 beers. That way you try some others and if it is bad you won't feel so bad for trying it and if it is good you'll be the hero of the group!

 

Agreed. I had 3 pours of it from last tap by Stage. Total cinnamon bomb.

 

2012 and 2016 Muerte were two of my favorite beers ever. There must be some bottle variation because I barely tasted any pepper heat, just a slight tingle towards the end.

 

Oh for sure. I've got a share group that will love it.

 

This was "troll" on the facebook group. I quote the word troll, because the guy who posted it prefaced it by saying he was just joking.

Remember the name of the guy who posted that. Around 95% of what he posts on the Dark Lord Day group is fake. He is always trolling.

This is exactly my thoughts as well. Muerte is one of my favorite variants every year. But hot damn, those early bottles were much spicier than the past few years (and in a good way). I still enjoyed those early batches, but the newer ones are way more balanced.

 

I had 3 draft pours at DLD. It was not overly "peppercorny" at all, complete cinnamon bomb.
