Dark Lord aged with pickle relish, mustard, sport peppers, & celary salt aged in freshly dumped Malort barrels.

 

And you know some bastard will complain that there is no ketchup in it!

I'm predicting 1st batch of DL aged in Distilled DL barrels. We know this is going to happen sometime....maybe that explains the shortage of DL last year? Or maybe they distilled the infected stuff...I'm also predicting KBBS level resale prices for it.

 

For the love of everthing unholy please Coffee coconut rum aged dark lord!

 

I'll take a triple chicory coffee variant...doesn't even have to be BA. Would love to taste a DL with a hefty counterpunch of bitterness.

...and a French press idea has been born.

 

I'm not really a coffee drinker, but I definitely think it helps counter the natural DL sweetness. That said, it is kind of weird considering the base has coffee in it.

 

Maple barrel to really bring out the sweetness. Maybe cut with maple barrel aged muscat.

 

Under! Maybe they will finally just make a few variants that people actually want?? Who am I kidding, there will probably be 24 variants and vintage bottles...

 

What about aged in Mallort barrels?

 

Barrel Aged Plague Cuvee- a blend of the infected BA DLs from various years....

 

That name alone is perfect

 

I'm just catching up here, but you guys know, for sure, that the rest of those early accidental tickets are going to be caught up with, refunded and invalid. It's just a matter of time.

 

I'm guessing 7 or 8 variants:
For sure: Handjee, BADL, Ronaldo, Muerte
hopeful: Fixed FVM back in bourbon barrels, coffe cognac
You know its coming: some sort of wine barrel treatment nobody wants
wishful but probably a couple years away: DL aged in dark lord whiskey barrels. I think the whiskey will need to age 4-6 yrs before they dump the barrel so I just dont think this could possibly be ready

 

Would be pretty cool if the early tickets either did not come with any bottles or the invalidate them after the others sell out on the 31st...

Few things on this board are funnier than how mad and red you got over these presale tickets.

 

What would be really nice is if, instead of 4 bottles of Dark Lord, they did 3 bottles plus 1 BADL that was guaranteed for everyone. That way, no one is too bummed when they miss out on a variant and get stuck with 5 bottles of regular DL. Maybe with the expansion, this is something that could feasibly be done in the near future.
