No, you definitely need a ticket. In years past when DLD has been on FFF's property the brewpub was enclosed by the festival. This year might be different if its at the park across the street. Highly doubtful. Even if you don't need a ticket the brewpub will be a clusterfcuk.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO MORE SCALPING!!!!!!!! Got nothing online last year and the high price of scalped tickets kept me and my wife from going last year. We ended up going in July instead.

Funny, last year, 3F was so nice to offer tickets for "locals" to buy and within hours some were for sale on ebay for $300+ each.

When you go to buy DL you exchange your ticket for the scratch off and do it right there before you have the opportunity to buy.

speaking of group c - Me and my buddy opened and shared a Gilgamesh and pre hyped Abraxas, what we got in return was something from sixpoint in a can and I was called a fa&&ot for wearing red toms. Thanks guys.

i'm not sure how you know it was group C, but another downside to the brew pub approach -- you have to leave your backpack and any alcohol -- whether the stuff you brought to share or the stuff you bought from FFF -- outside. barrel aged DLs and all. surprised this doesn't happen CONSTANTLY.
there were a lot of douchebags last year who were way too drunk. there were also a lot of great people and great beers being shared. ignore the bros and move past it!

It was my fifth DLD, kinda felt different last year but it won't deter me. I was waiting in line (I was group C) and as I was talking beer with a buddy cookin the brats and when i walked back 5 feet to the line some bottles disappeared. I really didn't care a bunch and didn't let it spoil anything, just pointing out it was a weird group.

I highly doubt the goons checking ID's will care what the name is on the ticket after the first 20 minutes.

Yeah I'm not sure they will actually match names to tickets. I feel like this is more to deter scalpers. Didn't Bolt Cutter and KBS releases say the same thing and they certainly didn't match names...

As much as I hate the scalpers this irritates me even more. I'm afraid to ask friends to help me get tickets because then if their name is on it how can I use it? In the past my wife has always been the one to get through and get my ticket although she never attends. What now? Should I even bother having her try?

This may be true but the "scalpers" don't need to know that.

three floyds is getting real this year. They got knocked off their high horse by Hill Farmstead and finally have to step up. I think they will check EVERYONES id's even if it means making people wait for hours.

Good luck scalping tickets with another persons name printed on them. No one would risk buying tickets like that.

All I know is last year after waiting in line for 1.5 hours (I was near the front believe it or not) the volunteer checking ID's was cold and tired and couldn't get that wristband on my wrist and get me going fast enough.

Couldn't those who plan on going solo scalp their "plus 1" ticket and take the "winner" as their guest?

Does the extra step to check ticket name with ID mean a longer wait to get into the gates. Hopefully they address this concern by having more lines to get in. I sure don't want this to turn into their anniversary wait in line party.

yeah, but that limits scalpers to actually attending and being local. No more buying 2 while living in CA and scalping them both a month ahead. Cutting out that kinda crap is what matters most.

I see no way of preventing this unless you have to give them your guest's name when you order the ticket
