All it takes is a few FFF employees going through the line with wristbands checking IDs and tickets (and then tearing the ticket, punching a hole in it, scanning it, whatever, to avoid it being used again) to avoid any sort of long wait after the gates open. Simple solution that I hope FFF employs this year.

All of this. Yet people will still have a great time.

If three floyds "didn't care" about being number 2 on a list after years of being number 1 they wouldn't have posted it on their FB and brewery updates. Also they wouldn't have made all these changes if they "didn't give a flying fuck." Some people are just negative and it's best if they just stay away. The same type of people that turn others away because they "don't have whales to share bro"

They already have to check IDs for DOB; checking the name at the same time shouldn't add that much time, but it is FFF, so you never know.

So what about the 'no coolers' caveat?!? I know last year they said to minimize the cooler size...but NO COOLERS? Does this mean no trading/tastings?

Coolers were fine outside the gates...inside they basically had to be like backpack coolers or whatever...I don't recall seeing any hard coolers within the gates.

No coolers INSIDE the gate. It has been this way for several years. Waiting outside the fence on the street, there are lawn chairs, tables, tents, and coolers galore. Hour or so before the gate opens, people stagger back their cars and put their stuff away, and get back in line. The key is going with more than one person, to hold your place in line.

That was my first thought. Just walk the line before the gates open.

And to reply to my own post haha, **this** is where the line cutting gets out of hand. The morons who get there 30 minutes before the gates open, and then oh-so-cooly try to pretend they're in your group, or bribe you to cut in with beer, food, etc. While the line nicely forms at 3am, at 9:45, there's a huge clusterf@ck of gate crashers. I hope they can put NUMBERED wristbands on, to prevent line cutters!!! I didn't sit out in the cold rain seven hours with only fifty people in front of me, only to end up being 300 back at 10am. "Wha' happened??"

Group C was quite literally a shitshow. We were in line, well it was much more like an unorganized gathering, by the shitters for what seemed like an eternity, waiting for any semblance of line movement. Sadly, the only movements came from, well, suffice it to Group C was indeed a shitshow.

And who believes it will move across Calumet Ave to Centennial Park?! This would never, ever happen! More likely, the park district might allow DLD parking, but even that seems unlikely. Kids soccer games always trump beer fest.

How much money do you think Munster will receive if DLD is in Centennial Park? How much will they receive for a few soccer games?

    Money trumps all.

DLD will never happen in a public park, simple as that.

Little is legally more metal than making a bunch of brahs in North Face jackets get completely pissed off about the event you're running.

You won't have to wait until after the event, just after the ticket sales when HeWhoShallNotBeNamed again gets snubbed by beer karma.

I think checking IDs will cut down on the number of people trying to buy tickets, so hopefully getting them will be a bit easier. Also the dev site still hasn't updated to say it isn't at the brewery.

They don't need to check everybody's ID for DOB.
You know some people are over 21 just looking at them:slight_smile:

They give the brewery address as the venue, not any other location.
    • Venue Info:
      3 Floyds Brewing Co
    • 9750 Indiana Pkwy
    • Munster, IN46321
