Dark Lord Day: 2014 Questions

We went last year for the first time and are hoping to go again this year. I'm really hoping to be able to get another ticket so I can bring one of my best man as his groomsman gift. The fiance and I had a blast last year despite the idiots running the lines. "This isn't where group C will start, they will start over there." "This isn't where group C..." Aside from that, great festival.

 

When do the tickets usually go on sale

 

Second week of March or so.

 

March 17th the last 2 years. March 19th in 2011.

When can we expect the people who know a brewer/cook/server/salesman/frequenting hobo at three floyds to give us the inside gossip?

 

I swear this year will be at Centennial Park across Calumet. I swear!

Yeah, they are already setting up tents and traffic cones.

 

There will be beer, there will be crowds, there will be a few unfortunate incidents, the weather could be great, the weather could be bad, some lines will be worse than others, there will be people offering up quick cash for your Dark Lord variants, some people's bottles will be stolen, there will be music, there will be food, there will be those who enjoy the party inside the gates, there will be those who enjoy the party outside the gates, there will be whalez bro pouring all around the event, there will be bros and non-bros in attendance, there will be neck beards, there will be people who drank far too much, there will be people not drinking enough, there will be great people all around offering up pours of whatever they have in their hand (bring a glass and a smile and make friends), there will be tickets available leading right up to the event at cost (don't pay more than that if you can't snag a ticket right away), and finally, there will be time to pontificate all the great things that is Dark Lord Day in the many weeks to come, let's not over-think things here.

It will be great, it will be bad, it will be organized, it will be disorganized, it doesn't matter. It's the best.

 

No ticket system this year. Air guitar contests will determine who is allowed to buy dark lord.

 

Not metal enough.

Must burn two religious artifacts for admission and one additional for each bottle of Dark Lord you want to buy. Barrel-aged Dark Lords will require confirmed proof of at least one burned Norwegian church.
