It must be so awful having such great beer festivals occurring where you live.

So, DLD tickets are going through etix this year (which I'm glad to hear). Has the link to purchase been made public yet? Anyone have experience with the site? (i.e. will having an account speed things up?)

Tickets were sold via eTix last year as well.

Link looks to have just been posted here. Even has a handy countdown for everyone. Seems a bit silly to post "Value Of $210 for $200." but, hey, some folks don't want to break down the costs.

Jaks Tap shuttle tickets are up as well here => link

I really didn't think we could surpass the amount of tears that were shed over last year's Dark Lord Day but I feel we may have exceeded it already for this year. This goes for the entirety of the Internet. 3 Floyd's Facebook page could provide enough salty tears to last us generations.

It's always the first Sunday of May. DLD is always the last Saturday in April. It's rare that those two intersect.

    Gonna be a loooooooooong weekend

For those that went last year and stayed at the Hampton Munster, did they have any shuttles to/from the event? A 30 minute walk in the morning is much different than at the end of DLD.

I read some of those Facebook posts and could not believe it, some people taking things WAY to seriously.... This banter is actually very even

The Facebook posts are great. I'm not sure exactly why the new format is causing such outrage. Same value as last year.

    Psssssssstttt.... *be quiet about that*.

It's TERRIBLE value! Just terrible. No one buy tickets in protest. Who's with me!?

    Right, right.

I mean, it's just sooo much money. We should all boycott!

I can understand a bit of the annoyance with the new ticket model. Value is great, but the "price" went up for a lot of folks (myself included). Would I prefer to be able to go and not have to buy all of that stuff? Yeah, but it isn't that big of a deal. Go or don't. No sense in raising hell about it.

I have a feeling a lot of folks will end up selling their bottles right there at DLD to offset the cost of the ticket. Some just want to go and hit all the taps, watch the bands and hang out with friends and not want to buy any DLs or BA DLs.

    Yep.

I've already got stuff in the works to flip my BA if I don't get one I actually want (depends on what group I can get in). It'll end up working out just fine.

I asked etix and there will not be a queue system. It will be the reload at noon and hope for the best method like last year.

The Hampton Inn Munster does have a shuttle. It was $5 one way and ran all day. Really good service.

The price makes it difficult to bring non passionate beer fans along. I'll probably try and go but I know the other person couldn't care less about the included bottles and can't justify buying their extra bottles off them on the spot. Going by myself is out of the question because transportation would be a nightmare and zero chance I would make the trip alone. The option to buy a GA ticket in addition to the standard ticket would have been very nice and I suspect a large portion of people would have taken advantage of it.

On a side note, have they announced how many tickets will be sold this year?

It was really difficult not calling out some people's sheer stupidity as I read through all the comments. Some people truly are the worst.
