Usually pretty smooth. Last year they announced the sales at like 4am for same day sales. They were available until around 7 or 8 I Think?

 

Got booted from last browser.......frustrating to say the least

 

First time I loaded the page the captcha didn't show at all, just the button to buy tickets. Then it kicked me back and made me do a more complicated captcha.

 

Got Group E. This all but guarantees me to get the Dark Lord/2015 Bourbon County Coffee Blend Variant!!!!

 

Got 1 for group E at 12:35

 

First time I struck out in 4 years. If anyone has an extra, let me know. Will provide good beers.

 

$6 credit card fee per ticket is an absolute joke btw.

 

Will share veritas for guest tickets! Let's not forget the black hole necromancer I'll be opening! How can you say no!

 

The captchas were inconsistent - for everyone I know who was trying for tickets, at first the button didn't show up, then after you hit the button for tickets, for some (like me) it was just an "I am not a robot" checkbox, while for others it was pictures or typing or something.

 

Scratch my earlier shut out comments. Group D. Going to be interesting to see how pacing myself to a later group goes.

And people are still pulling tix so don't give up.

 

Super pumped. Third year in a row and could not be happier. Group A.

 

What @kodt said. Captcha gets pissed at you if you click the box too many times (so if you're reloading a lot, it's going to happen), and after a while starts giving you petty tests like, "hey asshole, which of these pictures has a river in it? Can't tell if that's a river or not, by the way the pic is cropped? Screw you, that's the sort of problem a robot would have. Back of the line!"

Obviously people are going to hate on etix, but I think we should save a lot of our hate for our Captcha overlords.

 

Was in queue for Group B and Best Available around 12:01 (see issues with captcha above). Kept reloading the main ticket page and trying different options and closed out each time that window went to queue. After I got "No more tickets available", I refreshed once and selected 2 for Best Available. This time I had to select pictures with Palm Trees for the captcha, rather than just checking the box. I was given 2 for group B. This was around 12:20.

The original two windows in the queue did nothing. One told me that I had selected too many tickets. The other was still spinning when I shut it down.

 

This is fucking ridiculous.

 

Got a group C tic using chrome on my iPhone about 10 mins ago and my laptop was still spinning in the queue since the very beginning. Very unusual process to say the least but looks like I'll be back in town for DLD this year. Fucking stoked!! Keep trying for tix if you haven't gotten them yet. Clearly "tickets unavailable" isn't quite true yet.

 

Well I take it back, Group E here I come. The DLD history thread will live on.

 

The queue is bullshit. I just exited, refreshed and got 2 D's instantly.

 

Still in the Queue since noon. I think "you will not lose your place in line while you're in the queue" isn't very accurate.

For those that have actually got through, did you spend anytime in the queue, or did you just go straight through?

 

That's what I like to hear. It's a great thread and would be sad to see it not updated.

 

Just chose group E and boom!
