That is exactly the scenario. I am hoping that there is someone who has a larger group with a later allocation time that wants to wait it out with their friends. We'd each enter the festival with our tickets and then meet up to swap tickets to get our allocations. I've got friends in A & B who might be hard pressed to make it to 6PM when I get my allocation in D. Just trying to make things easier on everyone.

I know it's a long shot, but you never know everyones scenarios.

So do I have time to grow a proper neckbeard? Will just under 2 months of time be enough? TIA

I was on a hike today when tickets went on sale, but my girlfriend snagged me a spot in Group D! See you in April!

Last year, there was a Milwaukee person I ended up running into frequently and sharing with. I recall him having to leave for a bit and let his guest in. However, the people hired last year to deal with security and checking things seemed really clueless but it might have been the weather and/or all the beers being shared with event staff...That being said, big thanks last year to the security lady sharing the PseudoSue.

Security taking part in the bottle sharing? Now that's a beer festival!

Kickass man. We're driving out Thursday around midnight. Let me know what hotel you're staying at. We're North NJ so mostly Kane/Carton/Magnify/Other Half will be our share beers.

Yep I did this last year. No they just check your name off when you get there. Did you add passenger names in the comments before you submitted your order? If not email The Open Bottle and let them know.

Last year was nice. They opened at 8 and had some good taps. A donut truck was on site selling maple bacon and bcbs glazed donuts. Nothing like kicking your morning off with a 14% bcbs and a bcbs glazed donut.

What's conflicting about it? All that says is if you don't get in line during your group's scheduled timeframe, you don't get any beer at all. Can't be in Group B and go line up with the Group C people.

Doesn't the first screenshot say that you can enter during your time slot or after, though?

I'm curious if the variants will be a certain amount set per group or A will have their pick of whatever they want.

First come, first served certainly gives the impression that A gets their pick of them all.

I assume the key word is guaranteed. I remember people having mixed luck in the past

Re: variants, it's anyone's guess. The first year with golden tickets they seemed to be spaced throughout the day. Two people in our group got the pvw even though it was group C or so.

Got super lucky this morning. Scored two Group A tix and friends scored two Group B tix.

Last year was a learning experience for me, having never gone before. This year will be glorious.

Very excited to get rid of my Revolution 4th Year Beer while waiting in line.

The brewery is on the festival grounds. You need to enter the fest to get your allotment.

I took that to mean that you can enter anywhere within your window -- i.e. you don't have to line up right when your time slot starts.

    Hmmm

    My iPad still says

"Due to high volume, we've placed you in the queue for tickets.

You will not lose your place in line while you're in the queue......
    "

    So... ya know.. fingers crossed!

Luckily I got group B around 12:20, just thought I'd let the iPad run.

The Mrs and I were both "in the queue" for over 30 minutes before we were booted with "tickets unavailable" message. We tried for about an hour, couldn't get back in, and since today was Strong Ale Fest, we gave up after said hour...
