interesting. I'm A group, 100 something. Guess the numbers are not contained by group but rather across all groups...

Quick back of the envelop math says if 3500/group then there will be a ridiculous 17500 tickets sold

Pretty impressed if there were 17,500 tickets sold. 17,500 bottles of variants and 70,000 bottles of Dark Lord, quite the brew.

I think it will be more like 14,000 tops.

Still, that's anywhere from a 2000 to 5500 person increase to an already crowded festival. Hope they expanded the grounds again. They're gonna need it.

Ya, you would think it would be illegal to 17,000 people in that confined space. I think it will be relative to last year 10,000-14,000 people. I have sent their twitter multiple messages asking, nothing in reply. Maybe if we all keep annoying the twitter handle they will give us some degree of a response. I am just happy that it is finally April, 25 days until I am toasting all you shitheads.

I can't imagine that it's by group, that's way too many people and way too much Dark Lord. That would mean 70k bottles of regular Dark Lord and several multiples of typical variant numbers. That doesn't seem realistic.

With the amount of people who got shut out this year compared to other years, there is no way there is that many tickets.

That assumes that there wasn't growth in the number of people trying to get tickets. I don't think that is a valid assumption.

They definitely made it sound like it was around the same number of total attendees this year and there's nothing to say they couldn't be making, bottling, and storing Dark Lord all year especially with their increased capacity. So maybe there is a lot of Dark Lord to go around.

Head brewer from FFF was quoted saying 14k people last year. Assuming 2-4k GA tickets that was 10k-12k Dark Lord tickets last year. We always hear different numbers and never seem to get an exact number. Other FFF employees said "about the same" number tickets this year as last year. So I think if is same total as last year we are looking at 14k, if it is same number of DL tickets then maybe 10-12k.

Weather tracking update. This will change 8 more times and wont be accurate until 2 -3 days out, at this point it's more useful to speculate about variants than the weather.

On 3-17 it said 66 and sunny
On 3-23 it said 57 with a bit of rain and snow.
    On 3-27 it said 62, a shower and t-storm
On 3-30 it said 60 and sunny
On 4-2 it said 64 and a little morning rain

Confined? Were you there in 2012? They had 6000 people in just the parking lot, no street, no adjacent lots, no expanded brewery. The new grounds are easily 3x bigger. Probably closer to 6x bigger.

I was there, still holding on to a red wax la muerte! The differences that I have noticed is how the space is used. The most recent layout has a few bottlenecks that slow down foot traffic. That's the only reason I think it would be a safety issue. I have no safety experience, so everything said is pure speculation.
