Dark Lord Day (2020)

I plan on drinking a glass of barrel proof bourbon every night to kill anything I may have picked up. That's how that works right?

 

To be clear, 1) I'm not going to get it, because my body has built up a resistance to almost all forms of infirmity thanks to a cocktail of energy drinks, taco bell, liquor and protein shakes. I'd still rather not transmit it to my wife or kill my mother, though. 2) The main thing, though, is that I'm just saying that decision-making on events may look different in a couple months. It has nothing to do with how I feel about the topic, but if Indiana goes from the *checks Coronavirus app* 5 people confirmed to, say 1000 by May (especially if the "shit is everywhere" like you say), festival coordinators are going to be sweating bullets.

On the other hand, if we get over the hump, then people will go back to taking shits without even washing their hands, and there will be no threat to DLD other than pink eye.

 

Do you work in a hospital's call center? It's here, both where you live, and where I live. It's not contained. But okay!

The amount of effort we have to exert to get people to wash their hands at this point should assure you, most of the country has already contracted and gotten over this. Probably as a result of 2015's DLD.

What embarrasses me the most is there wasn't a peep about this in the Huna day thread, and I passed on going this year despite 5 years strong. Bummer too, because they know how to have a good time without all this sturm und drang.

 

To be fair, the coronavirus will feel right at home at FFF because, you know, it's not normal.

I'm not going to say FFF is concerned, but the person on the DLD home page is wearing a full mask to avoid the virus...

It's a legit survey (Y/N) of whether we think DLD will be shutdown or not. I voted no, because it feels like FFF would think spreading coronavirus through the fest makes for an even more metal day than usual
