Dark Lord Day (2020)

There was no tornado. It was basically just rain...

 

Yeah that would seem the most logical considering how much money they bring in on DLD. The only construction they have done so far really related to that project is demolishing the building directly south of the brewery.

I assumed they didn't start construction on that since they spent the last year focused on getting their canning facility up and running as well as getting the distillery open.

 

The expansion plans were announced almost two years ago. And barely any work has started so did they scrap those plans? Dumb them down? You'd think they'd want to get moving on any expansion. Did the canning line/second brewery make them rethink such a huge project? I would assume that if they were going to actively start building and tearing down that Munster might be wary of having thousands of people hanging out around construction equipment.

I was there.

There were 6 tornadoes.

 

I was also there, and very few people were even left when our group left. There were zero tornadoes throughout the day...

Has anyone looked at the long term forecast? Can we expect more tornadoes in May?

 

If the forecast calls for 7 tornadoes I'm out.

 

7 is too many? 5 is not enough...but 6?

In all seriousness, you must not have been there when they shut down taps everywhere for at least an hour and told everyone to leave, get out of line, and get out from under the tents.

Which we promptly ignored. And watched the tornadoes descend upon us.

 

Nah, but your first post wasn't seemingly intended to troll, it seemed more serious, and then you started to after that... with subsequent posts.

Haha, no I was there. I was super annoyed. I was even more annoyed at the guy who kept telling us to put the umbrella down in the pouring rain because someone was going to get an eye poked out...
The taps took forever to come back on, but the lines were great once they did. Haha.

 

It was great after the rain. A lot of people left, and by the end of the fest you could basically grab anything on tap with minimal wait.

I would imagine they haven’t announced DLD because they are making a last ditch effort to get bottle sharing back into the fest. I would imagine 3 Floydentain would want the distillery products at Dark Lord Day and Munster isn’t going to allow a bottle share to occur with hard liquor.

 

To be fair, I'm pretty sure I slipped and fell on an eyeball that got poked out. Those things are dangerous.

 

I was there NYE and the person in front of me asked at the kiosk and was told when FFF knows they’ll announce it. Then the conversation went to ticket sales.

 

3FFF is going total big swinging dick move this year by announcing the festival the morning of the event....

 

I just spat out my pastrami. But it was worth it.
