Nice to see most combos are fair with some really good. Agree with aquavit and pump&trump not being that bad. Plus they had a lot of Handjee.

 

I’m getting 3 packs but am giving one to a trade partner who paid for his at cost. I’m going to have a heart attack in the moment he picks his pack unless i get at least two solid bottles. If I get one handjee and two crap, I’ll feel just as bad giving him a bad one. Why do i put myself in these situations

 

Anyone have a pump and trump recently? I got one the year it came out (2017?) should I open now, sit on it?

 

Nope but I got three packs and the one was Bourbon Barrel and Handjee so that is "my" pack. I was just wondering what it was like. I know some people have said it's good and others undrinkable. I didn't really have to do any exchanging but would have felt bad if there were two skunks but it seems like they're doing at least one great beer in a 5 pack.

I know my one guy will share with me when I visit so that could be an in between agreement.

exact reason i turned down multiple people I would normally hook up, even ship to. avoided the "who's getting what?" and split a 5pk with a local buddy to just drink em. its definitely a thrill pulling up and seeing what you get - despite the empty lot being a stark contrast to the actual event. the beer gods blessed me with 17 ctm (my favorite vintage) and 18 hj. lets call it beer karma from donating to charity razzles and never winning.

 

Not trolling. My friend pulled an Aquavit out of his bag and I was like "Oh shit, this was a big mistake(again, I enjoyed the aquavit, but we got one at DLD 2014? and wanted to try stuff we hadn't had)." Then he pulled the Handjee and I was like "Well, looks like he got the good bottle." Prepared my self for some also ran variants, then I opened my bag and was stunned to see the Handjee and even more stunned to follow it up with a Chemtrail. Both bags had two blue wax regulars so I wonder if either they are sitting on way too much of it (was that the year they only gave out 3 regulars per allocation?) or if they are clearing out the regulars based on days- day 1 clear out 2013, day 2 clear out 2014, day 3 clear out 2015, etc. What regulars did people get yesterday?

I suspect they have a lot of Vanilla based on their earlier posts and what people were pulling yesterday. I'm curious as to what variants the 4 bottle allocations were pulling.

I saw pictures of someone who got two 4 packs and both had CoV Grey wax, which is about the worst complete pull I've seen (I haven't seen much from people who only got 1 variant per pack). I actually traded for and drank that bottle not too long ago; it's enjoyable but definitely not what I'd be hoping for.

 

@kodt do you have variant bottle counts somewhere? i did not see on your darklord info page. But, IIRC handjee has been one of the higher bottle count variants for the last several years.

 

I kind of assumed everyone was getting CoV 19, that seems to be how things are trending in this country.

 

Reading this thread makes me nervous/excited. Excited cause some great looking combos but also nervous that they're going to be out of sweet ones when I pickup on Sunday.

I may just not check this thread until Sunday for my own sanity lol.

Over 3,000 bottles in 2018. Around 1,300 in both 2017 and 2019.

 

It was 2016, and I got 2 of them. I drank the 2nd one just a couple of months ago, and it aged really well. It's probably a little less sweet than when it came out, but it's still really sweet.

I got a 2018 Chemtrail and 2018 Cavaliero in my bag today. I try not to get jealous when I see the people who got CTM and Handjee, because I could have ended up with a lot worse.

 

If you get a Chemtrail or a Handjee, it's a good haul either way I think no?

 

To be fair, this was my "10th" year and after it was about time I got a handjee as I was getting a serious case of blue snifters...
