I had a 17 last month also and completely agree that it fell off. I didn't get any of the flavors either. I got a 20 this year and I will be drinking it sooner rather than later.

Let me know how it is. I really haven't seen any of these bottles reviewed or pop up on the secondary market. My one buddy is really into the FVM (he's a coffee nerd), so he always wants to try it. Thanks.

I liked it, I just was a little disappointed because I've had so many Sauternes variants, I'm getting tired of it. The chocolate and coffee flavors really popped initially, but it became muddled after about 5oz. I kept having to eat some salty chips to re-set my palate. Maybe my mistake was doming an entire BA Dark Lord, but I stand by my decision.

Has anyone popped their sacred sword of jovan yet? If yes what's the consensus

I am also interested in this. One I have not seen on the secondary market and I have no idea how to rate/rank it. I'd love to try one, but it seems like this one is a phantom.

I saw one sell for $300, but that's it. Not many out there available. Heard a few have moved for less in some NWI groups.

The 10 guys on UNTAPPD mostly saying Sleeper of the lineup!

I'm intrigued. Maybe it's time to drink mine.

Not like I haven't wanted to, but buddy picked an allotment, too, and he went on vacation then got ill the last couple weeks. So...since we share the variants, syncing up hasn't happened. And there the sword rests...

My problem is simply that I buy more than I can feasibly drink in a timely manner. And now I’ll be adding ~16 more rev cans next weekend. The madness never stops

I'll just add that I recently had a 2017 FVM and ChemTrail for my anniversary and while I would certainly say the variants are always worth going for, I just couldn't understand how people were dropping $200+ for these bottles. I just can't..

I...um...just French pressed a bottle of 2020 DL with Peru Norte beans from a local shop in Kent Ohio called Bent Tree...and it tastes just like Coffee Shop Vibes.

I always thought the Vibes series was really sweet but the fact that I associated this with it so instantaneously at first sip confirmed my previous experiences in a way I wasn't expecting, because I wasn't thinking of it at all beforehand. I just wanted a heavy punch of coffee this time around.

    It's damn delicious.

I had a 2020 Keyrock and a Chemtrail Mix and they were pretty good.

How much coffee did you use? Might have to give this a shot.

All I did was just lightly chip up about a ~3oz/~80gram/5-6 tablespoon of coffee beans. I went with a high caffeine roastier bitter bean to contrast the DL, dumped the whole bottle of DL in the press with the chipped beans, and popped it in the fridge for a good 15-30 min or so (I was working on some roux so I'm not sure how long it was). I killed a lot of the carb with an aggressive pour, but you don't have to, it really gave it a silkier feel than it otherwise might have.

It really was delicious, and the resemblance to my most recent memory of a fresh bottle of CSV was uncanny.
