I’m ready for that .00001% chance of hope that DLD will be in person festival to be dashed sometime today. Better have a new format if this is going to be just a bottle pick up.

 

The line for DLD tickets at the kiosk is outrageous this morning. I am glad they put the secret notice on Twittlegram.

 

Putting it off until the last 10 hours of the month.

 

Clarification needed if the tote in the 2020 package is 2020 or 2021.

 

Thank God we are all getting an aquavit variant.

 

So the real question is does tipping matter?

Really dig the format this year, 2 regs and 2 variants is a huge step in the right direction. I just won't be available during their pickup window, so it will be the first time I miss a "DLD" in 8 years.

 

Here's hoping next year is 1 reg and 3 variants for $150.

I’m really not sure how I feel about cottage cheese being aged in Dark Lord Barrels. That part of the announcement seemed odd.

 

And just like that, the true tradition of the DLD thread is revived!

 

Nothing is more metal than making beer nerds wait for a stout announcement.

 

Love that it's 2/2 this year, think I would have passed at the usual 4/1 allotment.

Now I just have to dodge the scotch barrel, wine barrel and the new sake barrel with wasabi.

 

Of course you won't know the variant options until the morning of November 11th. But, at least we know. One of my favorite pastimes is to spend hours ranking the variants based on some random combination of the name and the adjuncts and the barrel. All I know is I rank ChemtrailMix as #1.

 

You mean the morning of day of sale October 18th? Last year anyway full variant names (with barrel details) were given the day of sale.

 

It's almost Oct and this thread is only on page 1, we have lots of work to do!!!
That wild thai bananas and horseradish in malort barrels sounds intriguing!!

This curbside no festival crap is like having to go to the North Pole to build your own toy on Christmas.

Last year FOMO got me on DLD, but this year the variants would really need to be ridiculous for me to bite.
