    Does the guest that enters the festival with me need to be the same person who enters the line for Dark Lord with me? It may sound random, but we're trying to grab a GA ticket tonight for a friend but don't have his card information. Not sure how entry to the lines is managed once we're inside. Stupid question but thanks!

    I actually talked with Todd Haug for a bit last night after they opened for the Enslaved/Yob show in Minneapolis. He didn't even know if he was going to attend DLD this year, yet alone perform with his band... though it would be great!

    Hoping for some leftover group tickets with the general admission drop tonight... but I'm not holding my breath.

    I'm sure it all depends on what you want to get of the experience but here's my 2 cents. Last year was my first year and my friend and I got group A but another friend got group D. Since we live relatively close I went with the first friend super early, shared a ton of beer, got our DL right away and hung out until around noon. It was awesome. I went BACK around 3pm with friend #2 and it was a whole different vibe. People were way less friendly and drunk, the screaming death metal set a negative mood (IMO), sharing was minimal, and the weather had turned for the worse. Guess which friend wanted to go back again this year (we got group C btw) and which didn't?

    I'm entirely uncool in this regard, I honestly have no idea, I just know I heard nothing but screaming and wasn't sure if actual words were being uttered. I swear I'm the oldest 37 year old in the world...

    Looks like GA tickets are pretty easy to grab. I'd say the interest doesn't seem to be there as much with those.

    Don't worry about impressing anyone. It's about hanging out, meeting people and enjoying the experience.
    Last year I broke my DLD cherry and brought a six of anti-hero.

    Sounds like a reliable source other than the part about $20 variant bottles. Last year they were $50 each so I'm hesitant to believe any of it.

    But, maybe they're packing the variants in 12oz bottles this year for $20!?!?!? Nah, they'd still be $50.
