Never stayed there before, but I have driven through the area and it didn't seem too bad and the reviews seemed decent. Cheap and close

That's some straight up Zen level discipline you got there.

I'm sorry but if I give someone a pour of something they better finish it or give it to a friend. 3 oz at most, cmon man

Wrong, beer is like wine these days and there will be spit buckets throughout the grounds so people don't get too sauced. These same spitters will be sure to tick the beer and make a quick review...

Don't accept the pour if you aren't going to drink it. People bring stuff they've cellared and saved for a big event (especially new folks) and there is no need to waste beer that others would want or that they themselves wouldn't waste.

It's a shame more deserving people weren't able to score tickets again this year.

if you have things you need to share, I'm sincerely happy to bite the bullet and try whatever it is you're dishing out. I'm in to beers of all shapes and colors.

(Seriously...I'm excited for DLD...especially the bottle sharing....its soon!)

Look, bro, I'm sorry your bro poured you a stale IPA. Considering how much fun you seem to be, I'm not surprised that the best beer someone brought was a stale IPA. If you weren't such a bro, you'd make better friends and understand that people are sharing some fine brews that should never be dumped. It's too bad that more and more people at this event have no idea what makes a good beer. For every 2oz some **** pours out, there is someone that would have liked to have had that pour.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. Every year I get multiple free pours completely unsolicited by people. If I am holding an empty glass someone will come up and just pour beer from some random growler in it. I will have no idea if I am drinking someones homebrew or a growler of some fresh draft only uber whale. Usually these people just pour and keep walking in a happy drunk mood. I've poured out beer before for sure.

Also, I have seen plenty of drunk people spill more beer than I have ever seen people pour out.

Dude you follow this thread and wait to post something either argumentative or aggressive every time. Look at the history. It's like you wait and wait until you find something you disagree with or can make fun of, and boom you're on it. There's quite a few examples. I'm not sure if you're angry or something, but damn dude calm down. You've done basically nothing to contribute to this thread except quote other's posts with some shitty response. Are you going to walk around DLD like that, eavesdropping on people's conversations and butting in? Or is this just an internet thing for you, where you don't have to worry about people telling you to piss off?

Should I open a "DLD Whiners and Haters Thread" so that this can get back to actually being about DLD. I'm truly excited for the event and I keep checking this thread hoping the new posts are something good. But no, arguing over whether its ok to pour out at 2 oz pour or not, are you kidding me?

Thanks to people actually posting informative stuff, that Dark Matter stuff a few pages back was great! Really excited for the variants this year and the guest taps. Honestly excited to check out Big Freedia as I think it will be a fun change a pace. And props to 3Floyds for making a statement to Indianas governor.

I've always been fortunate enough to have great friends who went to DLD and brought me back a bottle, I don't know if I've missed a DLD bottling since 2006 (maybe one here or there.) I was thinking this would be the year I made it up to Munster but I'll just be returning home after a 7 day stint on the road for work and will be ready to see my family.

I'm excited for everyone who will be going, I'm sure it will be one hell of a great time.

Normarlly there are ample amounts of DLD day threads. Perhaps opening one called "The Real Dark Lord Day 2015 Thread" would be the solution.

Question about transportation to and from the event.

Does anyone have any experience with Class A Cabs? Here is there website. http://www.classacab.net/

If they're reliable they seem like my best option to get to and from the brewery.

I was told forgotten island is a beer you should share with other friends due to its high abv. I'll bring mine and the forgotten island will be at White Castle with big freedia at 3 a.m
