Dark Lord years

A hydrometer measures the specific gravity in a solution. The gravity of 1.00 is water or a perfectly attenuated substance with no residual sugars in the substrate. My comment is a backhanded dig at the attenuation of dark lord over the years noting that the efficiency has reduced markedly, as noted by the huge saccharine taste of recent vintages

A lif is a lottery it forward in this instance the levity is derived from my guess being abrusdly high, close to the initial gravity of some beers as the finishing gravity in this instance.

08 is the best, 09 is drinking really good right now. That being said the last 08 I had is falling apart.

 

09 may be good but I heard you have to have an Ann to land it. Too rich for my blood, IN MORE WAYS THAN WON!!!!1!!

 

And to think I traded a bbvd for mine.

 

I remember when the 09 came out and everyone said it was the worst DL year evar and there was no help for the horrible retched sweetness...

Now it is a sought after vintage?

I think that was the beer that started the DL haters to start hating...

 

Drank some 2010 last night. It was pretty good, for Dark Lord.

 

Damn straight, I had 08 for the first time with a year to the day on it and still stands as one of the best beers I've ever had. Had the 09 a few weeks later and it was a train wreak, four years later it was stellar.
