Anyone ever been to previous years? I'm thinking about heading down there in a few weeks. Any info? What can I expect?

It was fine last year, but probably my least favorite of their yearly events. Seems like there was a small entrance fee, then either tickets for the wings or pay for a certain amount, I don't quite remember. They had some interesting sauce flavors, but there just wasn't a whole lot going on to justify sticking around for a long time.

    Anything cool on tap?

I was there yesterday and they had the beers on tap that are currently in their IPA variety pack. Maybe they'll still be available for the chicken wings things. I can't answer whether they had anything special on tap at last year's wing fest.

Love to visit Dark Horse, but one of my complaints is that you pretty much know 95% of what's available on tap by whatever is in the stores. Compared to Bell's/Founder's/Kuhnhenn/etc, it doesn't seem like they're all that interested in having many experimental or taproom-only selections on tap, except during their winter 4 Elf party. Having said that, they're one of my favorite breweries to stop at.

    I'm always hoping...
I did see one random single hop Crooked Tree that didn't come in packs every once in a while, but you are right.

    Heres what u can expect...

    1) 3x more people than the place can hold
    2) unorganized everything from tickets to get wings to how the hell do I get a beer?
    3) Rude people everywhere (waiters/waitresses included)
    4) No beers that u can't find in stores already
    5) If u pay for a song they don't like on the jukebox, it will be skipped

With that being said, they make some of the best beers u will drink. They Continue to improve on styles where they once failed, sours for example. You may have a great time, u might be like damn was this worth it? This has been my experience with them. The only thing that brings me back is the fact that they can brew some damn good beer. Not the duck balls at 4 elf or the terrible service/organization of events. But the damn good beer...

Guess ive been pretty lucky and never had bad service.....On the jukebox, they post what not to play..If you play it, well...Again, I was there wednesday and there were 4 beers on tap that you cannot buy in stores...Ive never been to this party so I cannot say anything about unorginization or how many people...

BTW, does your entry fee get you any wings?

Showed up, and it looked like a mess, so I left. Went to Schulers instead.
