I have 0 interest in Dark Lord Day but read this thread like it's a religious text.

Maybe the most (clean) fun available on the internet.

FFF did in fact say that variants were included with tickets this year. The commotion started when eTix was saying that variants were not guaranteed. This was a day or so before tickets went on sale. So people started questioning who was right, FFF or eTix. A couple people e-mailed FFF and they responded that eTix was correct and that FFF was updating the site to reflect the change.

That is how it played out. Of course, FFF could have just rolled forward and copy/pasted a bunch of info from last year in regards to variants without thinking it through. This wouldn't surprise me at all. Really, nothing would surprise me at all, though!

 

I'm just waiting for him to send me back my investment, ten fold! You'll all see who is laughing in the end when I buy up all the variants to monopolize the secondary market...

 

Are you saying that everything is pure speculation until we hear it from 3 Floyds?

 

That's what he is saying. Then once FFF says it there's more speculation.

 

That is the most logical. Considering the DLD site says: "Do you tweet? Check out the official Dark Lord Day twitter page for the most up to date info regarding the festival."

Which would make the "most up to date info regarding the festival" May of 2016....

 

They love to lazily reuse info/graphics/etc. from the previous year. For example, last year's lanyards still said 2015.

 

And the Warpig's event here used the DLD vouchers...

 

Lets be clear. That was a graphic design mishap. The lanyards didn't say 2015 they said XXIXXIVXXI in backwards distressed font. I'm pretty sure the intern who laid out last year's lanyard didn't know what they were looking at.

 

No, I'm referring to the part that said "Dark Lord Day MMXV" Orange is 2015, black is 2016. They used the exact same template as the year before and just changed the colors.

 

Oh yeah. Clear as day.

 

So, black is the new orange? I thought it was the other way around.

No, it changed. The orange started complaining about black, got into office, and now everyone is against the orange.
