Darklord Day 2017

Seeing all the Indy people getting their tickets today had me anxious sitting at work... just arrived home and:

What Gate is everyone going to, and what time to they plan on arriving?

I usually got with the North Gate and arrive around 6:30am

 

I'll be there around 7:15am. What gate I end up at depends on how the lines look.

 

I feel like the different images for different groups is just going to make targeting easier for thievery...

 

We usually set a tent up outside the south gate. My vendor from work is very kind and lets us use his parking lot and grass in front of his building. That tent has been a life saver the past two years with the constant down pour. We are literally 300 yards from the south gate. Swing on by if you're so inclined.

 

I don't know...not sure if that's ever made a difference in the prior years. The earlier groups have always had first crack at the variants, even when it was scratch off tix.

 

That's almost exactly my plan.

Since I've never gone that early before, is it kosher to swing up and visit the other Indy guys who'll be camping out up there? Not sure how other people waiting in line would feel...

 

Generally people are cool as long as you get to your original spot in line before gates open.... Most Indy guys will be south gate... We just switched it up and went north gate last year because I was able to park like 50 yards from the entrance. Good beers will be had either way... Was lucky enough to score a pour of some Cherry Cocoa Nib Dark Lord from a generous guy last year at the north gate.

That is what I am saying some dbag says hey that guy has a samurai around his neck he has to have a top tier variant

 

This will be the third year with lanyard/badge tickets, and all of those years the pics were different for each group (not to mention the letter is huge on all of them). I doubt it really has any affect on thievery. I feel like the thieves will just go for the easy grabs regardless of what variant is in it (if there even is one). Just don't leave your bottles around unattended and you will be fine.

 

But I like to find a place and just stack all my beers up in a pyramid and randomly leave for the bathroom.

 

Email that tickets have been sent at 1:30...received via snail mail at 3:30.

 

Probability of FFF selling tickets out of the pub next week?

 

I thought you heard. They aren't doing that this year.

 

Those clowns at eTix printed my address incorrectly and they are being returned to sender. Was on hold on their number that I am skeptical anyone even answers for 30 minutes and was disconnected. I hate fucking eTix.

 

Take it off after you get your stuff. Put it back on if they ask you too. Doubt they'll care once you're in.

 

Etix sucks.
