Yeah that sounds about right! We have made epic progress.

I recall that, but not a taste of any variants.

Can we stay on point - we now need to focus on what meat is being served at DLD.

I'd love to see FFF add a tent for a noncompetitive Dark Lord Chilli cook-off. Just a row of drunk dudes doling beefy nourishment from crockpots.

It also seems like an easy way to induce fobab caliber farts. Waking up with a hangover and muerte farts would make for a rough Sunday.

I heard steaks garnished with lobster tails......just a rumor

    Muerte farts made me chuckle....

I'm going to reserve the right to use that in the future.

    In other words, steal it.

One benefit of everyone participating in "Dark Line Day". The lines for taps shouldn't be as bad.

True but that just means none of the kegs will ever blow.

Then let's hope they start off with some good stuff that we can enjoy all day!

I happily bought a Group B ticket that gave me only slightly better odds at a Handjee than if I didn't buy tickets at all.

I'll probably still get one of my preferred variants, but the odds went from nearly certain to something less than that, and I have to get in the bottle line a little earlier.

That's part of the fest though. I must have missed the "no lines" option. It's not like you can totally skip the entry, pickup, bathroom, food and tap lines because you're fine with Dia Oscuro.

By the way, since I started this steak and lobster tangent, Dark Lord steak sauce would probably be pretty good. Patent pending!

They should just lean into the ridicule and make a Dark Lord Soy Sauce..

So, just a smaller bottle of Dark Lord with a different label?

I find it very interesting to read everyone's point of view regarding the lines and variants. I know for myself, this is my 4th Dark Lord Day and the first time I have ever had Group A tickets. As someone who has never tried any of the Vanilla or other top-tier variants, I am excited about the possibility of bringing one home finally. This new "wrinkle" in the process is slightly disappointing though, as now there is a chance that I will not be able to land a highly coveted Vanilla. Overall though, I feel that all of the variants this year sound pretty solid.

If I were the brewer, I would definitely make a Soy Sauce variant just to troll all of the neckbeards.
