It's the vintage thing that really f*up this year. The perception is if you wind up with vintage you lost. Even getting a perceived " bad" variant is better. FFF last year posted:

"BA Variants are going to be first come first served. We've got about 10 different styles though. You're guaranteed to get something rare!"

So that means this year, most people are guaranteed to get something rare and some people are going to get screwed by getting vintage....

 

Getting Vintage MIGHT be better than getting those Muscat BA variants....or the scotch one.

3 Years ago, I got in about a half hour after the gates opened, and King Sue was on draft. They usually have a couple cool guest taps on when the fest opens. It's usually the best time too, because there's no line.

I would 100% give up a bottle of handjee to guarantee a beautiful day. I don't care about a bottle of beer that much.

 

This just proves that you'll never make everyone happy. Everyone gets a variant...People bitch...More solid variants and potential for 2 vintages instead.... People bitch.

Even if they made enough Handjees for everyone people would bitch about there only being one variant.

No one bitched about everyone getting a variant...people bitch about the 2 vintages because it isn't going to be a choice. If they had an option to get them it's one thing, if they are forced on them because there aren't enough variants then that is a legit gripe.

I wouldn't complain about being guaranteed a Marshmallow Handjee, but I've seen people in this thread say they're not vanilla fans. So I do think some, though it might be very few, would complain.

Yes, but that doesn't mean I want to be around them.

 

I usually lump them together with the easily triggered people from PETA. I guess I was being insensitive.

 

Vegan DLD attendees have to be a handful at most and are an irrelevant group.
