I'll be the guy in a cowboy hat.
You're gonna have to be more specific. I'm sure there will be others from OK/TX and from everything I've seen in movies and tv, you all wear cowboy hats at all times.
I think I found the full band line up today. And I believe it actually could be true. But didn't want to devolve this thread to band advocate and make Zack mad again.
Shockingly few of us actually do so IRL. I only wear it for festivals. I started wearing it a few years ago as a rain deterrent. Its actually been pretty handy for having people find me. The white guy with a black shirt and jeans drinking a dark beer apparently isn't a good enough descriptor.
devolve away. I would like to speculate.
Ok, since you asked nicely. Speculated, but potentially accurate band lineup:
High on Fire
Source was a comment on the Facebook event post for Goatwhore playing DLD.
No Revenge of the Aborted Fetus Ghoul Licker?
No Dragon Abortion or Fetus Banger?!
Damn I was really looking forward to them!!!!
Sounds plausibly accurate. High on Fire have played several times before, Powermad also has played before and was mentioned before as playing.
That leaves River Black as the only new one.
At this point, I think they need to name a variant after Dragon Abortion and Fetus Banger. Both sound kind of disgusting though. Dragon Abortion seems like a Muerte variant in a red wine barrel. Any ideas on Fetus Banger? Maybe just start calling Temeculan that?
Man This would be a sick lineup. Force me to have to keep y self on the level all day long
Stoked on the lineup if true
God damn it Three Floyds.... Just put T-Pain and Akon in a tent for everyone and call it a day.
Granted, I'm on a fair amount of medication right now, but for a second there, I thought you were saying Zach Attack would be playing DLD. Which would be amazing.
I was sold at Amon Amarth. Just wish they were playing earlier.
I think fetus banger would have to be brewed with actual goats blood and fermented in used pine coffins
There's no local bands. There's usually at least 2 local bands. This seems like a lineup someone made up and on the surface it makes sense but isn't real.
There were no local bands in 2015. But usually there are a couple Chicago area bands.
Dark Lord aged with raw eggs and blood sausage in barrels that previously held the blood drained from slaughtered calves in the production of veal.
Hey, a debate over whether FFF is Chicagoland would be great to get us up to 150 pages for this thread!
Three Floyd's is Indiana. Not Chicago.
Both facts. But I think the debate is 'Chicagoland'or not... the greater Chicago area.
...(resisting temptation to engage even if it may get the thread going)...
Maybe we should just stick to bands & variants.
Munster gets Chicago television. They are Chicagoland. Done.
That works for me.
Munster is in Lake County Indiana which, according to Wikipedia, is part of the Chicagoland area...So yes, FFF is Chicagoland. TIL.
The US Census Bureau counts Lake County, Indiana as part of the Chicago Metropolitan Statistical Area.
When will we see the first tweet since May of 2016 on the DLD twitter page?
8:00am May 13th
I disagree, I say 3:30 May 14th letting us know if you bought drink tickets you may not redeem them next year or at the brewpub.
I will grudgingly admit that FFF technically falls into Chicagoland, but as Indiana's only top-tier hype-y brewery, I'll never surrender them entirely to Chicago.
No need to surrender them, they've long since been swallowed into that dark abyss called Chicago.
Munster is a weird spot though, population-wise. Half of the people rep Chicago, and the other half wear cowboy boots, have confederate flag license plate holders, keep hay in the bed of their pickup truck, and plan on Country Thunder being the highlight of the year. Like, you can see the Sears Tower from your pool deck, you don't live in Alabama....
ITS NOT RACIST ITS AMERICAN HERITAGE!!
What if I told you that it can be both an Indiana brewery and a Chicagoland brewery?
That's some Matrix style stuff right there!
I've never seen any of that there. I also can't imagine too many people in the North are sporting confederate license plate holders.
