That would be one expensive ass growler tho.
If memory serves they used to sell the 22oz bottles of Dark Lord for 25$ thats 1.14$ an oz
a 32oz growler if only filled to the 30oz line should only take what 5 glasses at 5$ each... thats 30oz for .83$ an oz
Like I said it's a good deal and more people should try to do it
DLD is one day a year....TREAT YO SELF!
True, true. I always indulge on all that is Dark Lord Day. Just never thought of trying to fill growlers with Dark Lord pours.
Just adding one more layer to the complexity of the day... i could really cook with a growler of DL... now to try and get a growler of the ultimate dark lord, one pour from each variant in the same growler.
edit: P.S. page 79
Has to include an extra Earl of Biggleswade pour.
The sad thing is that I am about 50/50 on actually attempting this.....I am also 3 beers deep (Happy Wednesday), so this may change come morning haha
I am thinking
the 32oz version that way I cant break that fill, also its a wide mouth so i might not need a funnel
I'll leave it up to you guys. I was thinking about it but will need the room in my cooler backpacks for share beers and the allotments.
We are on page 79 and it is April 19th. The 2016 Dark Lord Day page didn't hit page 79 until April 27th.
I am with a party of four. We are split between Group A/B. After we all get our allotments my dad and I are taking all of the groups DL back to the hotel and ubering back for reentry. This is when I will growler fill.
You need to do it Ocean's 11 style. Bring with a disguise kit and switch it up between pours. That would be great.
I can also have all 4 of us get a fill, might be the easiest. also just take a sip and say I had DL 2017 and growler the rest. I do want to make an attempt at seeing all the variants this year, last year (my first DLD) I was a drunk mess by noon, still made it till 5ish... most of my memories are photos.
That was me a few years back at my first DLD. The last two years I've fared much better. Food, beer, water, beer, water, food, beer, water, beer, water, food...
Back in 2006 some guy was filling bottles with BA Dark Lord drafts and then offering them for trade on RB.
HAHA....Welcome to DLD!
Just got home, can confirm, received lanyard today. Came in an otherwise unmarked Fedex envelope from eTix. No other paperwork, just the plastic badge and the cloth lanyard. First timer here, so not sure if that is normal or not.
I am also with a party of 4, and we are groups C/D. So I am thinking we get in the gates and I immediately load up on DL taps. That is if I decide to actually try this haha.
PIC OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!
*If it did happen that is legit packaging.
If BA made adding pics easy, it'd be done by now. Hold on, let me remember how to do this.
I upload my pic on photobucket. Then I copy the pic's direct link from photobucket. Then I click on the pic icon above this box and paste the link. Boom.
Did this one work?
Ermergerd! The first ticket has been posted.
Did you get a shipping email?
And now begins everyone shouting "why haven't I gotten my tickets yet"
Negative, Ghost Rider. No shipping email, no notification. Just showed up at my door today.
Holy shit, this Dark Lord thing is actually going to happen isn't it. <Kindly add my post as a +1 to the Shit Posts count>
Last year my buddy got the email almost a week after he got our tix lol.
Here's one of my favorites...has anyone else not gotten their tickets yet?
What number is your ticket @carlso_aw ...finger is blocking it...curious. Get a guesstimate at the group counts.
SOMEBODY HELP ME I HAVE A FLAT TIYAAAAAAAAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
Do you really?
Its a nine digit number, so I'm not sure if its related to the group counts.
The number in the bottom right of the bottom stub...not the number under the barcode.
...is a 9 digit number . The one under the barcode is a 10 digit one.
Hmmm...what is it? The 9 digit one. Shouldnt be 9 digits tho unless it starts with some 0's.
in person ticket sales should be sometime next week right?
Nope, its 207482215. eTix must have printed a LOT more tickets than we thought
I'm guessing the 10 digit number isn't any more helpful.
