Still some Darkness in Rochester. Was at the MGM liquor by Lowes and they still have a sign up Surly Darkness $29.99. It may be there a while at that price.

I was at Bryant Lake Bowl for that. I remember it was really not that busy. Tasty stuff indeed.

Wonder if they brewed a seperate batch just for Chicago? If that number is true, thats ALOT of Darkness.

I'd be a bit miffed if they sent some pallets of Darkness down there.

Same here. I feel like these releases should be special for MN, especially Darkness.

If they ship out Darkness to Chicago yet ran out of bottles at Darkness Day, that's some serious bullshit.

So far I haven't been able to trap anyone in their own words, but if you want to bitch about Darkness going to Chicago AND BCBS's limited availability here, I will call you out on it.

(Go to Casanova, buy a growler of Speedway Stout for $20, and be happy...that's what I did today)

You missed the firkin of Commander aged with oak and Vanilla at the Stone Tap. I made a little trip from Wisconsin to all over Minneapolis. The Commander was amazing. Best firkin I accidentally ran into as of now. But yah, Speedway is every bit as good as Darkness if not better and cheaper at that. Starting to think Darkness is over-rated after being at an imperial stout day at a bar in St. Paul. Let them have the Darkness. Sucks for the trade bait though.

I have always thought Speedway was overrated. Darkness is one of the best non-BAs stouts. For $20 though, I am grabbing a 4-pack of Bourbon County over a bomber of Darkness every day of the week and twice on....eh never mind we can't buy beer here on Sunday.
