Yeah, I didn't show up tell 2:30 last year and we ended up back by the building with the crates out in the front.

That would have definitely pissed me off as well seeing that many people all of a sudden show up in that small of an area.

I decided to head over to Darkness Day at 4pm to avoid the crowds. I drove right up to the front gate before it occurred to me that it's NEXT weekend. Sure am glad I didn't decide to pitch a tent on Friday night - awkward. I'll try again next weekend :/

I lost sleep over this one last night. It is the textbook definition of "wrong". Yes, you still got yours, but at the end of the line 80 people who had been there and deserved to get wristbands didn't. I hope that they distribute the wristbands much earlier than stated to catch pileated pussbags like that with their pants down (and their buddies still at home warm in their beds). Or better yet - distribute them in waves, maybe 2 or 3 times throughout the night/morning, so that those of us who are actually there get the actual wristbands (and actual beer:slight_smile:.

Not sure what all the worry is for. It's not like the informal organization & BS around a line is anything new this year. If you're there early enough and plan well, you'll get bottles at the event. If you don't, they are distributing plenty to retailers so relax. BA's should be self-policing the line and bust line cutters and people who sneak in. Only thing that makes that difficult is people walking all over with bottle shares, line surfing/mingling, etc. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt on behaving honestly at events like this but there will always be some douche bags.

BM me, if you do not end up with an early wristband as I believe I will, I will trade you if possible

Awesome lineup. Cask Brett Liquor sounds just like something olympuszymurgus would be into...especially peaking into tents at 3am.

Looking forward to seeing everyone this Friday. Maple Tripple anyone?

    I can't make it this weekend :slight_frown:

If anyone is going and can help me out BM me. I'm really only looking to get a pair of Darkness snifters. If anyone can help out with getting a bottle or two, that would be awesome as well, but again, really only looking for the glassware.

To answer my own question that I now can't recall if I asked in this thread or the other one, Darkness sales will begin at 4:30 Saturday for the non-wristbanded, unwashed masses, limit 4, while supplies last.

1500 Wristbands available, not the 1200 they originally said. Still a 6 bottle limit, and $18 cash per bottle.
