Oh boy, that 10 hours of sleep in my bed with heated blankets was wonderful. Now to make breakfast and head up in a few hours to buy 8 bottles, 2 people.
Whats the line situation like? Anyybody passed out or puking from 16ish hours of line drinking?

No, I'm actually a somewhat slender Hispanic that is clean shaven. Going to wear a long sleeve Surly logo shirt with a black leather jacket and blue jeans. Looking forward to trying Brett, 2012 Darkness, and seeing Powermad.

 

I picked up a blue wristband for 3:30 - 4:00 at 10:55 this morning. According to Surly's Twitter page, the last wristband was handed out at 11:24 a.m.

 

Wow that E-Bay ban must really be having a effect.

I couldn't make it up there this year due to my sister coming back stateside from Norway...

 

This year's Darkness is drinking so well right away... I doubt my bottles will make it through the winter

I actually thought this was the most organized and smoothly run beer event I've been too (which includes the last three years of darkness day and dark lord day). Naturally there is going to be a dumbass out there, but that has nothing to do with how the event was ran. I was commenting with my group when we arrived how all of the fires and propane tanks seemed like a bad idea paired with the level of drunkeness. The only Change I could see is not allowing camping or pushing back the earliest time you can arrive. It seems that showing up on Friday pm was unecessary and probably contributed to how drunk people got. I know we were entertained by a wasted guy in line who was guarding his truck and kept setting off the alarm and was struggling to get the alarm off. At one point he was randomly brushing his teeth and made a big deal out of it... Good stuff!

 

Someone just sent me a picture of a burning dumpster. Nice job. See you later fire pits/charcoal grills.
