Actually, there is a state list running down the right hand side and all that you have to do is pick whatever state that you are interested in.

Another great event. Loved the beer, food, and metal as usually. Did anyone else think the BA Darkness tasted more like Bourbon than Rye?

Darkness day is more of a beer fest than anything. Getting bottles is just a bonus. People hang out, camp, grill, drink beer all night. It's a pretty good time.

More Heady Topper at Surly Friday night then in any East Coast city. We were positioned between the nicest people, and the loudest most obnoxious people in the area. We will never see a mild night like that for Darkness Eve for another decade. Our Darkness friends,Mike and Red, are a class act. As always,Friday night we were about 40th in line,Saturday we were around 250th to get our Wrist band. Walkups!! They should hand out wristbands around 8pm Friday night. Then you would have the option to stay overnight,or maybe head to Stub and Herbs and sleep in a motel. That tent that hands out coffee Saturday morning show be canonized. Since when did it become ok to stand in line Saturday, casually glance to the side and puke, then go on with your conversation, like you merely spit. Pretty tough to down your Hangover Hash with that puddle laying there. Todd the Axeman is the 2nd best hop beer Todd has ever made. Naseem and Dorit are the most charming couple. Best photo op--getting my picture with Sarah of GCFS.

Whoever is the bastard who stole a bottle of 2007 darkness from inside my buddy's sweatshirt after hitting him in the face I hope when you crack it open you choke on it and die. 4 of us had just bought that bottle from a neighbor lady who needed money to fix her roof. This year we opened and shared a darkness vertical from 2008-2013. We were planning on cracking the 2007 darkness in another vertical next year at darkness eve. Fuking loser douchbags who steal beer just remember what goes around comes around. You'll get yours sooner or later.

This was the 1st time I actually waited in line overnight to get bottles as I did the volunteer thing from 2008- 2012. Got there early on Friday and setup under the streetlight at 48th and Drew. It was a great night of friends, beers and meeting fellow beer geeks. I also was told by someone that we where less than 200th in line which seemed reasonable to me. By the time everyone lined up and all the cutting took place we were 489th. (Brett showed me his counter as he went by.)
Also as we were getting our Darkness wristbands my nephew saw some douchebag get a wristband tear it off walk 15 feet to someone else and then proceed to get another. Whoever you are hope it wasn't a BA and beer karma bites you in the ass!
Overall Surly does a great job but line management needs some refinement.

We got there around 4 pm Friday and were 400 or 500 back at most. We listened to the volunteers Saturday and got in line immediately, yet we ended up being 850 back. I can definitely see how some people who got there Friday night were unable to get bottles.

When I was waiting for the Pink group to go in a guy walked up with a Gold band that had been torn off. He got in.

First D Day was a huge success, ended up meeting some awesome people and shared some great beer. Big thanks to everyone who helped make it so memorable.

On that note, anyone from Team DickFire here?

I hope you notified the police. That is robbery, a felony.

I have not notified the police yet because I have no leads yet on who may have done this. I do know the bottle number of the 2007 darkness was 323.

If anyone on here comes across or sees this bottle please contact me here on BA. If this shows up anywhere and someone is trying to sell it please let me know so I can notify the police.

How did he know there was a 2007 Darkness if it was inside a sweatshirt? Whole situation seems odd. Sorry about your friend getting assaulted.

That's really not how that works... If you don't report it now then if you do ever see the bottle pop up the police won't be able to do anything about it. Report it now.
