Also wondering if it is 100% barrel aged or a blend, like deschutes does with abyss. Also, maybe this was why they did the smaller release in January, maybe that was a portion of the batch that would go into barrels.

Breweries are famous for keeping secrets. I was at bells in March (day after kbs release) asking about Blacknote, they guy in the general store said he had no information about Blacknote, that it was not a seasonal, and he heard of nothing about it even ever being made again. Well 48 hours later it was for sale at the brewery, and had been bottled 2 weeks before the guy said he didn't know.

I recall having barrel-aged versions at Darkness Day and ABR in years past, but I very well could be wrong. Someone more knowledgable than I can weigh in.

100% barrel aged for 4-6 months in high west barrels

So high west barrels eh. Does the fact that they don't produce their own whiskey make a difference. Are they really their barrels or the big old conglomerate down in Indiana that makes a whole bunch of whiskey.

    Will the bottle production decrease?

Could be a hoax, or a tap event for the grand opening. We will see, I'd love it and would take Friday off from work just to take it all in, but seems too good to be true.
