    Interesting.
Last year I just used a solo cup. Worked fine for me, but I'm not that picky. The one thing needed is water to wash the cup out with. Seems like there was some there, but I brought a bottle to keep hydrated and clean out a cup periodically.

I think I may stop by Goodwill for a cheap snifter, that way I don't have to worry about breaking one of my nice ones during the drunken revelry...

Just to go World Market and pick up one of these. You can buy them individually there. They are like $4 and are not only cheap, but a great every day beer glass. And they hold 20oz, which is nice! http://www.worldmarket.com/product/event-brandy-glasses-set-of-4.do?&refType=&from=Search

BA Darkness, heh well that'll make verticals interesting now won't it? I was toying with doing a 5 year vert this year and now I may have to just to see what this does to it.

Makes me want to make a Baller Stout with all BA variants of the original 3. I suppose that would be the same as Murdered out but I still want to try.

WHEN are they going to finally have a VANILLA barrel aged version? And a FRUIT barrel aged version. And COCONUT.... I've been reading about this whole BA Darkness thing for almost 10 minutes now, and I'm just ready for something NEW. Come on Surly!

(seriously though, this is awesome news. the only time I tried BA Darkness on tap it was incredible.)

Competition is a good thing. It was great that Lift Bridge and Indeed made big splashes into the BA Stout field, and I hope Steel Toe jumps in next. I'd put my money on Town Hall beating them all if they bottled. Regardless, it is going to be a great time for craft beer in Minnesota with more breweries stepping up to push Surly for the belt. I look forward to seeing how BA Darkness answers Rum King and BA Silhouette.

If it is even in the ballpark of BA Silhouette Surly will have succeeded.

Their track record isn't too promising.

:slight_frown: This is sadly true. Not sure when THB plans to go back to bottles after their infection-plagued first attempt a few years back. Fortunately, the stuff they put into pint glasses and growlers is typically nectar of the Gods, and I have never had an infected/bad growler from them before!

I'd say it definitely leans toward RIS and is definitely one of the better MN beers.

Well the label did say vanilla... waiting the next three months is going to be difficult!
At least this will be no where near the nightmare that TG will create when they release Assassin during the Great Taste or is that just a horrible rumor..?

Okay, back to the important stuff - has anyone checked to see if the line has started in front of the brewery yet?
