Darkness on tap sightings

Ditto! Binkies usually gets it about a month after release. I would hope the Taphouse will get it, but I get the feeling they don't quite understand what they're doing.

Agreed on the TapHouse. Althouh, I posted to their facebook page about Darkness and someone replied they are in fact getting a keg of Darkness. When, who knows.

I visited Rochester a lot last year, gf down studying at mayo. So naturally I spent the most of my time at Taphouse or Binkies. Anyhow, I was in town when darkness was being released to stores down there. The owner had mentioned they wanted to hold the keg a bit so they could release it without competition, I want to say binkies had it on tap

 

Went to Stanleys NE. THey still had '11 and '13 on tap when I left at about 10:30 last night. So kinda odd they sold out of '12 right away.

 

Ha! Not odd at all. The '12 was my favorite vintage since the '09, I'd have just stuck with that one too. Was never a fan of the '11.

 

Odd, on '12. Maybe I should do my own vertical my buddies' and I all are not big fans of '12 now. LOVED it fresh but now it's just kinda sweet (bummer I have 4 bottles left but I will probably bring them with to San Francisco for friends and the bottle share at the Eclipse release party).

Oh I guess I should be honest I only had '11 once I think. I traded 4 of my bottles in a large trade involving a bomber of Kate the Great and we did a RIS night with KtG, Darkness and Dark Lord (tip Kate won...). I do remember '11 being ok, but I think the only time I had it was right after Kate. I still have multiples of '10-'13.

Had a 2011 at Darkness Day. My least favorite year. 2012 was excellent and I dig 2013 from the one pour I shared at Darkness Day.

 

2011 and 2013 still on tap at Stanley's NE.

 

Tapping at 3 pm today at Mac's Industrial.

 

Grumpy's Roseville still on tap, just had one for lunch.

i haven't opened an '11 in some time. has the sweetness subsided with age at all?

 

Had one the other night with my wife and we both thought it was awesome. Still sweet, but not overly so. Went down way too fast, I think I could have drank the whole bottle myself.

 

I'll be tapping a 2012 and a 2013 on November 6th at 6:06 PM.
