    Anyone aware of any tappings tonight (or places that still had it on yesterday)? Looking for a place to watch the MNF game and have some Darkness. Preferably toward the east side of town.

    If anyone is outside of the cities to the north, Steven's Restaurant in Princeton tapped Darkness yesterday.

    Love that bars are doing verticals of Darkness. Enjoying the last 2 years now at BLB. Been luck enough to taste the last 6 vintages over the past week (The old stuff at Darkness Day). Good stuff. The 08 was amazingly smooth.

    I can’t find any references to it, but does anyone know if maybe some oak chip aging happens with darkness? I feel like I am pulling some straight wood out of this beer. Not barrel, but some chip or other wood source. I may be nuts... That has been known to happen.

    You need to put on some headphones and listen to the death metal channel on Pandora, and it will taste more like it does at Darkness Day.
    They had 16 gallons at Binkies in Rochester and the keg ran dry in 52 minutes. Didn't keep me from having 3 though. Wonder if they got 16 for the south location for today.

    Nope, wood aging (barrel, chip, spirals, honeycombs) has never been a component of Darkness. Except for 50 gallons of 2006 that was Bourbon barrel aged. Drank my bottle last New Year's Eve and it was delicious.
