I'll be in Dartmouth, NH early next week. Looking for solid taplists in the area. We'll have a car so VT is in play if not too much of a drive.

The Skinny Pancake in Hanover looks OK but hoping for a larger selection.

In VT, Worthy Kitchen in Woodstock is our current frontrunner. i don't think we can make it to Upper Pass during their open hours.

You most definitely need to hit up River Roost in White River Junction. Probably my favorite hops in the state right now. Big Fatty's BBQ next door has a really solid tap list. https://www.bigfattybbq.com/beer/.

The Alchemist is about an hour away into VT, and is next to Idletyme Brewing.

    Thanks for the recs!

River Roost was definitely my top pick. Teared up a little when i saw they were only open Thursday - Sunday. Big Fatty's looks solid but closed Tuesday and only open til 9 on Monday like WK & SP.

If u go to Worthy Kitchen - on you way into Woodstock you will pass the little town of Quechee. Over the covered bridge off Rt4 is Simon Pearce glassworks. They have a gorgeous restaurant overlooking the bridge and they have a cool beer bar featuring local brews - you can always get Edward on draft and cans of Heady/Focal. Worth a stop for a beer or lunch.

I live about 15 minutes north of Hanover.

Best tap lists in area are Big Fatty’s in WRJ, Trail Break Taps and Tacos in WRJ and The Latham House in Lyme.

Monday is wing night at Big Fatty’s.

Skinny Pancake in Hanover is ok, but I wouldn’t go their unless something specific jumped out to me on their list.

Not much will be open past 9p.

Murphy’s and Molly’s in downtown Hanover will probably have a few decent beer options and should stay open a bit later.

Brick and Brew sometimes has a few good beer options and Pizza.

Worthy Kitchen has great food and good tap list.

Waterbury and Montpelier are a little over an hour. Both have great food/beer options.

Ziggy’s pizza place in West Lebanon has some decent beer options and has a big bar that may be open later than 9p too.

A half-hour back down 89 to Flying Goose Brew Pub in New London. But I think they close at 9, too.

It's a full hour drive to either Schilling in Littleton (open until 10) or Kettlehead in Tilton (closed Mondays). Outside of the seacoast region, those are the three very-most worthy destinations in NH.

But if you can get to Big Fatty's on Monday, that will most likely be the best nearby tap list.

I don't know why everything in northern New England closes so early. I guess we're all supposed to be getting up at the crack of frigging dawn to milk cows or something.

Edit to add: Just out of curiosity, are you coming up 91 or 89? And what time of day? In case you wanted recommendations for stops en route.

Nothing but trouble happens after 9p.
And dawn? Waste half the day if you sleep in till dawn.

    thanks everyone for the info.

we're flying into Lebanon but a buddy will have a rental. unfortunately we only have a few hours each night so tripping up to the VT hotspots won't work. i'm usually up that way every summer anyway. mostly looking for places where my southern friends can try some NE goodness.
