I can't navigate anywhere without encountering a blank page. Sometimes it will say "unexpected database error has occured," other times it will just send me to a white page, sometimes it will just direct me to "http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/". Usually after reloading the page a few times I can eventually get to where I want to go, but this is far from an ideal browsing experience. This is the only website I have any problems with, which makes me think it's site related, and not browser related.

For those interested, I'm on MacOSX 10.10.5, and I this happens when using both FireFox v. 41.0.1 and whatever version of Chrome I have on here, which is most likely new since I've only had the computer for a couple of months.

Hmmm. Using basically the same configuration except the browser is Safari. Have not encountered the problems you describe. I'll fire up Firefox and see what happens.

Edit: Firefox here behaving the same as Safari, problems.

Using a Mac as well and the problems seem to have cleared up by now.

I've tried it with three different browsers, and while its better on Safari and Chrome, it's still an issue. The main issue are long load times which appear to be resulting in timing out, but instead of sending me to a blank white page, it's redirecting me to the ba.com/community page (the forum home page).

    Try clearing your browser cache.

I wasn't seeing this behavior, but it looks like some users were running into the beginnings of one of our database tables becoming corrupt. This same table resulted in a database crash tonight.

I was able to repair the table remotely and will investigate further as soon as I get a chance.

I've narrowed the issue down further. The slow browsing and white page time-outs only occurs when I'm logged in. When I'm not logged in, the site is lightning fast, I can browse nearly as fast as I can click. Once I'm logged in, it all goes to shit. This happens across all three browsers.

Sounds like you're on a discouraged IP, which intentionally makes your browsing experience miserable. Send me your IP and I'll look into it.

Todd, I can't even click your name to send you a PM. I'm surprised the forum isn't logging my IP each time I post a message. At any rate, this has happened from 3 different locations: home, a coffee shop, and a sandwich shop. Here is the IP of the coffee shop I'm at : 184.78.229.11

Don't be, because it does. I just like to save time.

Anyway. Your account (not IP) was being discouraged. The table crash occurring around the same time was just a coincidence.

Locking this one down now as it's a specific user issue (not a site-wide issue), and it's been resolved.
