Dates on Trappist bottles..

    Is it correct that the "freshness date" is 5 years after the bottling date?

    e.g. I have these two bottles...

    Westy 12 - 23.05.15
    Rochefort 8 - 29.06.16

    Does that mean the Westy was bottled in 2010 and the Rochefort 8 in 2011?

    Westvleteren is dated THREE years from the bottling date. (in your case bottled on May 23, 2012)

    I believe Rochefort is dated the FIVE years that you mentioned. (in your case bottled on June 29, 2011)
