I'd appreciate feedback on my itinerary for a day trip to Philly (from Atlantic City) next Wednesday with my 8-man crew of beer-cationers.

    What spots should I add?

    What spots should I skip?

Is there a conveniently located classic cheesesteak place we should hit instead of my listed lunch options?

I do not know Philly geography and would appreciate feedback on how to order/group events for ease of getting around.

    ITINERARY

Lunch- Reading Terminal Market or Poes Sandwich Joint, 710 N 5th St, Philadelphia, PA 19122

    Human Robot

    1710 N. 5th St OR 2401 WALNUT STREET

Fermentery Form, 1700 N Palethorp St. (Open by announcement only). .

    Dinner @ Monk’s Cafe

You've got the best beer spots in Philly there. I think what you have is good with the amount of time it looks like you're working with from a scheduling perspective. Form and the 5th st HR are walkable from each other, but the neighborhood can get a bit sketchy. Other options in the general area if Form is closed would be Other Half, Standard Tap and Frankford Hall.

Many places in Philly offer some variety of cheesesteak - including Poe's. If you're talking about one of the "classics" the closest ones to Center City are Jim's and maybe Campo's.

What you have there looks like a fun jaunt.

    Some other considerations:

    Lunch

The Reading Market provides lots of options it the eight people are seeking variety.

If you want to experience the best of sandwiches I strongly recommend John’s Roast Pork:

While the name ‘intimates’ the Roast Pork sandwich (which is excellent), the cheesesteaks there are excellent as well. Two folks could split the Roast Pork sandwich and cheesesteak and have the ultimate eating experience!

    Breweries

There are a number of very good – excellent breweries along Spring Garden Street if a ‘pub crawl’ is of interest. You could start closer to Delaware River at Mainstay and then go up Spring Garden to Yards and then Triple Bottom and then Love City.

Or just visit Human Robot if a single location is more to your liking.

    Have fun!!

If you choose Poe's for lunch, kill 2 birds with one stone and go to Human Robot 5th Street and order sandwiches from the window inside. Poe's sandwiches are great.
I've not seen Fermentory Form open on a Wednesday in my recollection, so plan to have a backup. Others have mentioned places nearby that could work. I like the vibe in Triple Bottom and Love City, but any are good choices.
    Enjoy the visit!
