I would definitely recommend Hood River. about a 3 1/2 hour drive from Seattle, but its absolutely gorgeous and between pFriem, Ferment, and Double Mountain you can eat some great food and drink some great beer. From there you could mosey into Portland in about 45 min or drive back to Seattle. no wrong answers!

You could also do an Island based trip. Hit Diamond Knot in Mukilteo, take the ferry over to south Whidbey, hit Double Bluffs in Langley, up to Flyers then anacortes/Mt.Vernon to loop home.

Or take the ferry across the sound and up the peninsula to Port Townsend. There's lots of breweries on the Sound side of the Olympics.

I think San Juan Brewing is the only brewery still running out in the islands, but it's worthy of a stop if you go out whale watching.

Island Hoppin' Brewing is open on Orcas Island, and Hogstone Pizza often has ridiculous beers for on-site consumption. Like kegs of Cantillon and Floodland bottles.

I thought they had closed? They were for sale a couple years ago,and I haven't seen their beer around, or heard anything about them in about that long... Hmm, shrug.

Yeah, I just went and looked at their website. I was out there 3 summers ago when I had family out, but I hadn't heard a peep from/about them since. Glad they're still open, neat little spot.

Lopez Island Brewing Co is not currently open for in person, but is hoping to be opened back up again in the not too distant future, as far as island options are concerned as well. I'd recommend the Red or the Pale in particular
