I will be heading down to Daytona wednesday night until Sunday. I will have a decent amount of time to explore between work meetings. I'll be flying into Orlando and driving to Daytona. I'll be landing in Orlando at 830 and driving straight there.

Can anyone recommend breweries, bars, bottle shops and good food (seafood if possible!) in Daytona? I'll also be looking for bottle shops along the drive from Orlando.

    Thanks!!

The best brewery around is Tomoka Brewery in Port Orange. They have a nice brewpub that is worth checking out. There is a Total Wine on US92 that has the best selection of bottled beers around. If you are looking for fresh Jai Alai or other Cigar City year round beers hit up a Publix grocery store. For food I like Blackbeard's in New Smyrna Beach for seafood, Stonewood in Port Orange for steak, and Genovese's in Daytona for Italian.

If you're into baseball we have a great Advanced A team called the Tortugas that play at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. Also prepare to be hot, it's around 90-95 with 100% humidity down here right now.

Thanks for the suggestions. Definitely gonna check out the brewery in Port Orange when I get the chance. Huge baseball fan here. Diehard Mets fan (it's not easy). If there is a night game I might just check it out.

Panheads Pizza in NSB or Port Orange! Great pizza and great beer selection. If you can guess the mystery beer in the box (one off their bottle list) you win a free large pizza. You get a guess for each beer you buy. My dad guessed it right with a Highland beer last time we were there. Good folks and fun environment at that place. Port Orange location is much bigger but NSB will be closer to you.

There are some great bottle shops in DeLand, if you want to make a detour to the fountain of youth on your ride from Orlando. Abbey is a great bar, as well as The Grotto, both in downtown DeLand. Its only about a 35 minute drive from the beach, so if you've got an extra day, its a nice mini trip within your trip.

    Have Fun,
    Cheers

Are there any decent craft beer options barwise on the island? With people who dont want to travel far tn and would prefer to walk by foot.

I have a family member heading down to the area from January 8th-16th and asked if there is any beer I'd be interested in from down there. Is anything hitting distro (Total Wine) during that time or local favorites? I'd like to make it as simple as possible for them so only main big or easy to get stores. Thank for any info provided
