Here in orlando on Black Friday I could buy 1 case of BCBS, 2 4pks of BCBCS and BCBBW and a bottle of Backyard at each ABC Liquor store I stopped at. I ended up with 4 Backyard and 1 case of each of the 3 variants. Also You can still randomly find the Barleywine on shelfs 8 months later.

Goose island literally makes a SHIT TON of each of those beers.

Happened over several months at various locations. Just gotta keep your eyes open! Not every store sold
out / released everything they had on Black Friday...

Agreed. Unfortunately, they do a piss-poor job of distro'ing it to some of the markets they have been in for the longest time. I know in Minnesota and Michigan, you mostly had to get on a list or find this stuff same day it hit shelves. Many places had 1 or 2 bottle limits on regular BCBS (one big store had a lottery to get a chance to buy 2 bottles of regular BCBS because demand so far exceeded supply), and some fairly large craft stores got little or no regular/coffee/b-wine. Backyard didn't even show up until months after initial release, in limited numbers, and even then some distributors did not get any so some areas were completely shut out.

GI can obviously make their own decisions about volume across the different states, but it boggles my mind when I hear about people in Florida, Texas, Massachusetts, etc. STILL having this stuff on the shelves months later. You would think it would be in their best interest to try to match supply and demand a bit better.

I can see in some states it was easier to get BCBCS then in Chicago on Black Friday.

This thread is so off topic...

OP, if you have learned anything from this, the value of DB Huna is extremely ambiguous and changes every few weeks/ months because it becomes more rare every time its traded. You have to have a whale to land it right now because hardly anyone would give one up for anything less. You're offering great beers but none of them are on the level of DB Huna. Things that I have seen recently,

    1:1 Assassin
    1:1 Hommage b2
    1:1 Ba Abraxas
2-3:1 Sara, De Garde, Side Project
4:1 Cantillon (2x LP, Fou, Vign)

I know some other people already said it but beers like DB huna find you easier when you're not looking for them. Good luck on landing one.

I can vouch for this. We don't get squat when it comes to Bourbon county or variants. We do get some. But if you're not a member of some secret organization you don't get it. If you do find it it's 1-2 bottles per at largely inflated pricing.

Now you know how we feel regarding Black Note distribution here, and your local Secret Society.
