In Arlington for the day, and looking for bottle shops in the Arlington area and any local bottle recommendations in the hopes I can bring something back with me. Any input or links to threads I may have missed in my search is greatly appreciated.

Arrowine, The Brew Shop, K-1, Lost Dog Cafes, Whole Foods Clarendon. Where in Arlington?

Whole Foods in Clarendon has terrible selection compared to the MOMs in Arlington. If you're already in the Clarendon area then you should hit up MOMs for sure, they're right around the corner from Brew Shop

Great, thanks all. I called WF Clarendon and they didn't have anything 'geeky' at the moment. I'll try to check out MOMs and Brew Shop.

my pleasure... i was just in there over the weekend and if you're really looking to 'geek' out then you should check out their selection of Adroit Theory. they also still have a sign up to ask for Dogfish Head World Wide Stout (bottled in 2012). beer gal's name is katie, ask for her if you want a brief tour of their selection.

Will also be in the area next week and have viewed a bunch of VA/DC threads so far. Will be staying by Court House Metro in Arlington. Good restaurant/tap lists (kid appropriate if possible)? Thanks!

In that immediate area, Fireworks Pizza, Lyon Hall, Citizen Burger Bar, Tupelo Honey Cafe, Sehkraft & Heavy Seas all have pretty good lists and are kid friendly. There is also Galaxy Hut and Courthaus Social. Those two would be less kid friendly.

You aren't going to find any place in Courthouse that has a list like Churchkey or some of the other notable places in DC, but those places mentioned above still have solid beers. The menus are always rotating, so there will be plenty of great options.

Fireworks for sure, they might even have call ahead seating. Just up the road is Rustico Ballston, they have a kids menu and are owned by ChurchKey. All fine options posted above.

Thanks so much! Will try my best to check out some DC places too but it's great to see so many kid friendly choices with solid tap lists close to where I'll be staying!

There's a Whole Foods (2700 Wilson Blvd) near the Court House Metro with a good beer selection and a cafe with beer on tap.

Reviving this thread from more than two years ago, as I'm heading to Arlington for a bachelor party this weekend. I'm one of the few beer guys in the group, so my time will be limited. What is the best bottle shop to grab some local craft, and best bar if I had to choose one? Thanks in advance!

In Arlington, go to The Brew Shop near the Courthouse metro; Arrowine on Lee Hwy, and K-1 on Columbia Pike in south Arlington. Dominion Wine and Beer in Falls Church is great as well. As far as bars in Arlington, Rustico, in Ballston, is your best bet for craft selection.

Check out untappd as well. Alot of the local restaurants and bottle shops use it, including Total Wine Ballston, Rustico, Citzen Burger Bar, Fireworks, and the Whole Foods Brew Pub. As far as best bar for beers, Rustico routinely gets Veil and Equilibrium stuff among others.

As previously stated, skip the WF for bottles and concentrate on K1, MOMs, Total Wine, The Brew Shop, Arrowine, Dominion Wine (Falls Church) which has crowlers, and Norms (Vienna). Also note that Rustico has bottles to go and a very deep cellar. And dont be surprised if prices are higher at some of these places.
