Debating on Churchkey. It's only a 10 minute walk from work but if I can't get there early enough to get a seat, forget it!

I was really looking forward to the Mikkeller sours, but I missed it.

Did the Cask event @ District Chophouse on Friday. Definite sleeper event. Lots of brewers were on a hand.

Going to Churchkey today - should be there by 8pm - hoping there is still some BA muy bonita left by then (if any of you are still there - ill be wearing my dark blue DC Kickball shirt and with my fiance - come say hi).

Tomorrow's can't miss is the Blind & Bitter event at Scion. 25 brewers bringing 25 hoppy brews. Blind taste & rate your favorites. Unveil the winner around 9pm. Swag for everyone!

Well I plan to stop by after work, not sure if it will be crazy or not, it could be, hard to say.

Event page is here by the way: http://www.beeradvocate.com/events/info/68928/

It would be neat if they had No Crusts on tap, but who knows? not holding my breath, if I don't get a seat chances on I'll be skipping it. Great looking list too.

and done heck no I am just getting started

I'm still on the fence about it, mostly because of the weather. The Funky Buddha event is one of the only ones this week I really want to hit though....

Got there at 5, wasn't too bad at all, tried a few then left. Went to Policy for the beer advocacy discussion, was pretty good and an excellent panel. The free beer was a nice touch.

Tonight I'm torn between my local Bluejacket or the not very metro friendly Black Squirrel, the CO beers sound tasty and most are actual special releases or versions of beers. Anyone else find this year that too many events are just basic lineups from overly distributed breweries?

Yes. But just take a look at the Snallygaster lineup so far and that should help improve your spirits

I think a lot of the events are underwhelming but there are some good ones to choose from. RFD did one, Coast to Coast or something like that. That to me is a meh, as you go to any good beer bar around here, and it's a coast to coast line up on a normal day. SAVOR has really become the primo week for beer here. BUT there are some worth while events this week.

Edit: I should note that the local breweries are doing a really good job this week with their events etc. and showcasing their beer all week.

I headed to Bluejacket this afternoon and was really impressed with their barrel aged barleywine, snack attack, and 10k aged in cab franc. The guy said they have a few kegs so you could probably get your hands on some tomorrow.

Maaaan. Bonita was kicked by 7:30. Shouldn't have taken a shower.

Someone broke the toilet, might want to get that fixed.

I only went to the off-flavors educational event at city taphouse on Monday night and had a decent time. I've always wanted to do something like this and it was run well, but the majority of the 'off-flavors' in the samples weren't strong enough to really stand out when they were suppose to. Pendergrast ran a good show and even admitted the off-flavors weren't strong enough.

I've never been able to make it to the cask events at the chophouse unfortunately.

Anyone make it to the cruise this year? I've gone to the last couple and had a great time.

Blind & Bitter last night was a lot of fun. OTWOA was the winner with Evo Lot 6 and Flying Dog's The Truth taking second and third respectively. #locals

I've failed to make it to any event this week. I'm just going to save it all for Snallygaster.

since OTWOA won at Scion ... i believe the prize was a permanent tap at Scion (i may be wrong here and misread it somewhere); .. but does that mean 'DC Brau' gets a tap? ...or is it more specific and does (please god) OTWOA get a permanent spot on tap?

That would be a bigger win for Scion than DC Brau.

What other beers were in the competition in addition to the top 3?
