How was the brew line bus tour?

Yeah, once we realized the growler was empty (and they had them on the bus), we bailed at the last stop instead of busing back to our point of origin. for some reason I thought it was going to be filled w/ the Solidarity collaborative beer.

I'd say overall the tour was a solid B effort. Thought it was well organized - maybe a little TOO organized (i.e, we only had 20 minutes at Mad Fox, which was the only place that was serving food). Disappointed that Mad Fox only had samples of 2 beers for the group, but I had to go in and pay for an Orange Whip.

More food would've been a welcome addition.

Port City and DC Brau were extremely welcoming, both in personality/excitement and sampling. Was cool to see Bluejacket - Greg gave a nice talk about all that went into creating the space. Their dry-hopped Kolsch may have been the best thing I drank all day. 3 Stars was probably better earlier in the day - that was our 5th stop, and it seemed like they were just ready for the day to be over. I will say though that Dave's tour included more f-bombs than any other brewery tour I've done...so there's that.

my friend and I ended up talking to the DC mayor for 5-10min at bluejacket about baseball. he was there for us as the first group there. it's funny bc we're the least political people ever and we didnt even know who he was.

Yeah, my buddy and I were d y i n g over the no food.. what the heck?! That was a long time to go (drinking) without eating.

That kolsch was fantastic though. Had it first, and it was all downhill from there..

Good call. I vaguely remember you requesting mission figs or truffle oil or some special shit on your pizza. At that point, I think I was making the (poor) decision to order more beer (at cost) (was interested in trying Orange Whip), and no food (thought it would take to long). Hope the fru-fru toppings hit the spot . Pretty sure I shoveled in seventeen sample-bags of Cape Cod potato chips at 3 Stars..

na, I wasn't at the bar when my buddy ordered the 'za. it was double the price at the bar than outside, but no biggie. so much for 'boxed lunches' 'food trucks' and 'chef created food' at BJ
