I haven't heard anything about this at all yet.. but apparently Hunterdon will begin distributing DC Brau in NJ starting Monday!

I only know because I saw on Hunterdon's greatbrewers page that the releases for next week included the following:
    DC BRAU
    Public - 6 pack CANS
    Corrupt - 6 pack CANS
El Hefe Speaks - 12 pack CANS

    Incredibly stoked. OTWOA soon please!

Congrats! I love me some Corruption. That beer is seriously underrated. Unfortunately, OTWOA doesn't even get into distro in DC (it's brewery-only), so I have a feeling you won't be seeing that in NJ for the foreseeable future.

Damn, I didn't realize OTWOA was that limited in DC...
I still am mighty excited for Corruption. Can't ever get enough canned IPAs!

I've definitely seen the public and corruption on shelves before. It did seem like it was a one and done though, cuz I haven't seen it since. Hopefully DC Brau sees shelves more consistently now...

It actually isn't that "limited" anymore. They almost always have it for sale at the brewery these days. They seem to do a new batch every 6 weeks or so, and while it used to sell out instantly on the day it went on sale, it's now lasting at the brewery for 3-4 weeks. This gives me hope that we might see some of it go into distro soon, especially since the brewery is a giant pain in the ass to get to and only open on Saturday afternoon.

My only concern with that would be the amount of hops they have under contract for this year. I'm sure they bumped it up a lot for next year, but I doubt they had any idea how popular it was going to be. IMO it's a damn fine beer and up there with Heady to me.

It's more than 3-4 weeks. Take the batch that was canned on 7/3. I purchased that batch 3 weeks ago on 8/31 before the fresh batch came out the next week. You can get it every week, as much as you want, and then in 6-8 weeks it'll be fresh again. That's only based on my experience so far (citing mostly recent events for it.)

Don't go nuts about DC Brau being in NJ. It's going to be hard to find as it's very limited for now. They only have 70cs of each type for the whole state, according to the spread sheet e-mails I've seen on new releases. It makes me wonder why they even bother right now distributing it with such limited amounts. That's 1cs each for the top 10% of accounts in NJ (if they distributed it evenly, but they won't). Maybe in a year DC Brau will be able to send more to NJ so the top 20% of accounts can at least get 3-5cs of each 'core' type. For now, it's not happening and good luck finding it.

Interesting, I've never seen any DC Brau in 12 packs.

    1. There are no 12 packs, that is a mistake.
    2. OTWOA will continue to be brewery only for the foreseeable future.
    3. We are currently out of OTWOA until late October.
    4. We have been trying to get some beer up to the good folks of NJ for quite sometime. Originally we were sending up a pallet or two so that my farther in law who lives near New Hope could buy some in Lambertville.
    5. Hopefully we will be able to continue to send beer on a semi consistent basis but if the product is needed in DC/MD/VA we will have to service our home market first.
    6. We totally appreciate the enthusiasm is this thread and I hope that you all will understand the distribution situation.
    Hope this helps.

Distribution will continue in MOCO as it has been. We are not signed on with a distributor for the rest of MD and we do not have enough beer available to sign on the rest of the state. We already have a pre-existing relationship with Hunterdon. As soon as we have enough beer to supply MD properly we will.

Has anybody who has been down at the brewery lately noticed if they finally got that new chiller that has been outside on the concrete pad surrounded by barbed wire, INTO their building yet???

I think you answered your own question. If they poured a concrete pad for it and put up a barbed wire fence, do you think it's coming inside? Sounds like a permanent outdoor fixture to me.

I haven't been to the place in sometime, and the intention is to get it in the building, Pepco is holding them up that's what Brandon was telling me months ago.

I was wondering if it has since been installed that's my question or if it is still out there, cause I haven't been by the brewery in months.

Good to see and hear from you again Brandon hope things are going well.

I know I know. Was kidding. I'm in DC 2-3 times a week. I can get plenty for myself--like I did yesterday! ;-)

Addition. I received a PM informing me that DC Brau sent much more than 70cs of each type of beer to Hunterdon. All the inventory spread sheets I've seen to date only ever had 65-70cs of each DC Brau available, or on hand, with nothing on order. Guess those spread sheets were not updated to reflect additional cases DC Brau sent to NJ. Thanks for the info, Brandon. Now we're just waiting for it to be released.
